Closed to Animorphs and Guards.
His hands itched. So did the backs of his ankles. And his head hurt.
It was rather annoying to not be able to scratch the itch. The headache was more troubling. It was going to get worse, but for the moment it was just an ache behind his eyes, aggravating more for the reminder than the actual physical pain.
He was helpless.
He let his head lull forward, resting his chin on his chest and testing the bindings on his hands. They were solid, and it didn't give in the least. They didn't even have the decency to scratch the damned itch.
He was hungry, and that would get worse as well. He had a feeling the current small portions of food would continue until he starved. He would get the added pleasure of his host's hunger making his own worse.
< They're going to kill you. > Tom's voice was soft, invasive, and annoying.
< That should make you happy. You're getting everything you wanted, aren't you Tommy-boy? >
The host was silent, considering.
Iniss kept his head down, soon, perhaps, one of his jailers would decide to lecture him, and who knew what might happen then?
If he pretended to be asleep, maybe they would just leave him alone.
((Occ: Give me what day you're on when you tag in, and we'll just do it sorta day by day? I guess? Maybe? Suggestions?)

"Pay back which children? And what would this body being alive have to do with anything?" His eyebrow arched, head titling in confusion. "And no. Not one of those hosts." He actually preferred that, in his own way.
no subject
< The ones who are in the Resistance. I had wanted to keep Earth out the war, but I didn't. The least I can do is let Marco have his wish of helping his friend's brother. Even if he doesn't know he'd wish that at that time, > Elfangor said.
no subject
He paused, scowling faintly. "Marco should mind his own business, this isn't his problem."
< does that mean Jake was involved too? > The words were soft, almost a whisper. A thought his host seemed almost unwilling to have.
The yeerk paused again. "And Jake?"
no subject
< You are the one infesting someone he knows. You have no right to say what is his business. >
< I couldn't say. He just said Tom was his best friend's brother. > Again, he wasn't going to give information the humans didn't give themselves. If it confused the Yeerk, then that was fine.
no subject
He shrugged his shoulder. "He's from the future. It's still none of his business." His eyes narrowed a little. "Do you know Jake, Elfangor?"
no subject
< No, > Elfangor said. He hadn't met Jake yet, though he knew he was onboard. And he never got his name. So really, he only knew of Jake, but didn't know him. < Only what has been mentioned to me from Marco. > And Aximili and Tobias, but he didn't add that.
no subject
"If Jake were involved, I could understand, but Marco is just nosing in where he shouldn't."
no subject
< Unlike Yeerks, they can care about the fate of those who are not just directly tied to them. >
no subject
Tom's memories seemed to point to something happening that year, though it was hard to track down exactly what. "To borrow a human expression, potato patato. Either way he's causing trouble needlessly."
no subject
< Only from your perspective. Not from others. To others, he's showing compassion for his friend and his family. >
no subject
Iniss gave another vague shrug, it was a bad habit, but an invasive one. It was a very communicative gesture. "I think our definitions for the same thing run in vastly different directions." And it was very possible that Marco was taking his mommy issues out on the first yeerk that fell into his hands. But family had always been a confusing thing to him.
no subject
< I know they do. >
no subject
His lips twitched. "Maybe not all things, though, Elfangor. I keep my deals too, you see, Elfangor. Unless it becomes absolutely impossible for me to do so. That's why I didn't shoot the girl, not even on stun, that's hwy I left instead of continue a fight I tried many times to avoid in the first place. I assume the ship has recordings? Why don't you look at them before you cast blame so quickly on my shoulders. You might even see my host speaking to Dani if you do."
no subject
< I believe I will be doing that, then. Stacy might have recorded something. Though don't expect me to believe that was really your host she was talking too, > Elfangor said. After all, it wasn't hard to 'be' someone when you were in them. That was always important to remember. < And absolutely impossible...when it's worse for you to keep it then break it, correct? >
no subject
He grinned almost sardonically. "It was my host she was talking to. Believe it or not. Who Tom is now is very different from who Tom started as, and that shift is quiet obvious."
He shrugged. "Have you always been able to keep your promises, Elfangor? Kept all your vows? I make the attempt, would you ask more of your human allies?"
no subject
< And even then, it would be easy to be that different him. With him in the back of your mind. >
There was a long silence at that. < My attempt, their attempt, is different from what you might consider an attempt. There is always an attempt as long as it's physically possible. A selfish Yeerk's attempt may only come when there's no true inconvenience for them. >
no subject
He shrugged. "Dani has ways of telling which one of us is in control. It wouldn't do me any good to try to lie to her."
He just looked at the Andalite for a moment, shaking his head. "I'm judged for every action because I'm a yeerk. Tell me Elfangor, if I were one of your human allies, and I told you the exact same thing, would you judge me the same?"
no subject
< Her abilities? All you would have to do is make sure she doesn't have reason to try to check. >
< I have more reason than you being a Yeerk, > Elfangor said. < And if the human was my ally, then I would have reason to trust them. But not all humans are allies. I am aware it's better to not assume they are all the same. >
no subject
His lips twitched into an almost smile. "Ah, but the best way to make her not poke at me is to give her what she wants, isn't it?"
He sighed. "But you don't know me, and to assume I have the worst intentions... I've not lied to you once since we started speaking, Elfangor. Can you say the same?"
no subject
< And she's also a child, > Elfangor said. < A strange one or not, she could still be fooled. >
< I have been honest in what I offer you. Surrender and you will live. That's all that matters. >
no subject
"If only we were all as honest as the Andalites, the universe would be such a better place." There was a wry twist to his lips as he spoke, head down and eyes closing. "I'm tired, Elfangor. This body needs rest. If you have no more veiled threats to offer, I think I will sleep for a few hours. I trust you not to slit my throat in my sleep. Isn't that amazing?"
no subject
< I would not kill a prisoner, unless it was a stubborn Yeerk who just won't surrender, and especially not someone who was sleeping. > Elfangor said. But he still had guard duty, so he wasn't going anywhere.
no subject
"It's ok if you starve your prisoner until they give though, that's perfectly within the moral guidelines. There must be a huge book on this stuff, I think I might just need to read it some day. "If/Then Morality, an Andalite Handbook for Difficult Situations.""
no subject
< One is either willing to make concessions to morality, or ignorant. It's impossible to be completely moral, but we try. More so than the Yeerks, > Elfangor said.
