Peace of mind? Yeah, right. [Open, and probably R for language.]

In the past few days, Dean has: been manhandled by a bunch of animated vines, been called an incestuous homosexual, nearly gotten into a fight with Blondie, nearly gotten into a fight with a giant blue horse, watched his brother try to fix his brain, gotten beaten up by a girl, and had to listen to the same Blondie and a giant wolf argue. It has not been a good week.

So Dean is wandering the ship, drinking straight from a bottle of booze, trying to unwind. By the time he reaches the sensoriums, he's feeling a bit better, so he sits down in the middle of one of them, ignoring the open door, and lets Stacy take over.

What unfolds around him is, in fact, Bobby's house. The car junkyard is off to the side of where he's sitting, and Bobby's messy house is behind him, and he's sitting on the lawn, feeling the sun shine down on him. It's nice.

So to anyone wandering by? You'll see Dean, on the grass of the lawn, soaking up the sun and occasionally sipping from his bottle.

When Geoffery's head was buzzing too much, too busy to settle into recordable words, he tended to let his feet wander while his mind puzzled away.

He'd been trudging the plant-flesh corridors of Stacy for a while now, largely keeping his squinted gaze on the path ahead of his feet. He hadn't meant to wander into the sensoriums or even this specific one, but when he belatedly noticed the difference in his surroundings, he couldn't help but blink around curiously. The sunlight just made his squint worse, and a junkyard was definitely a new sight.

Chaucer cleared his throat politely, peering - respectfully peering - at Dean. "Ah... m'lord?"

He didn't want to interrupt and anger the knight, after all.

Geoff grins back, blinking. Dean has been added to his very short list of potential friends, protectors, and employers. The other two were Sparhawk and, oddly enough, Javert.

"I was merely wandering by. Do you mind? This is very nice."

Taking a seat near Dean, Chaucer continues to crane his neck around, trying to see as much as he can. "I wonder how much difference is because of my being from the past, and how much is a difference in universes."

"It's perhaps a habit," he admits, giving up on figuring out what any of the foreign objects are. "Most people either ignore or pay me for those thoughts," he adds, glancing sidelong back.

"That's what the pen is for, sir knight, forcing people to listen. But thank you. And for earlier as well. I get lost easily, here." It's a fairly obvious thing, but not one easily admitted for Chaucer. He's too used to being highly-educated and overly intelligent. "Things are very different."

"Apparently a man wandering naked is not a common sight in everyone's lives, for instance."

Jo wasn't finding a lot to do on the ship, and she had to admit - she actually missed Eureka and Fargo. That was enough to make her almost stop in her tracks. She missed Fargo? How bad was that?

She really needed to make new friends.

She had been intent on going to the sensoriums to do more target practice, but it obviously had different ideas because when she stepped inside, she didn't see her shooting range. No, now she was seeing some messy junkyard with a house...

Shrugging to herself, she made her way toward the house and of course there was Dean, talking to some seriously pale blond dude. She shook her head and turned right around before she got too close. Though she had caught the tailend of the conversation.

"Him? Nobility?" She asked outloud, not really caring if Dean heard her or not. "If he's nobility, he'd be Lord of the Asshats."

Yes, Jo is still irked at being called a crazy lady.

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
Jo's brows lofted and she slowly turned around and stared at Dean.

"That's not something to be proud of." She eyed him, crossing her arms, but didn't make a move to get any closer. "So you done being a big cry baby?"

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Don't think I won't whoop your butt again!" Jo growled, pointing at Dean with narrowed eyes.

Obviously she's not one with the whole bite me comment.

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 09:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah you do," Jo grumbled, though she was completely taken back by him. Was he... admitting he'd been a complete jerkface?

She eyed him suspiciously for a moment. "How long have you been drinking?"

[identity profile] deputyjo.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
With a shrug of her shoulders, Jo crossed the lawn and plopped down on the grass next to Dean. So she forgives rather easily. But, she's not just gonna let it drop.

"First off, what are you drinking.... And secondly - why the hell did you act like such a big baby? Never get taken down by a woman before?"

Chris peers inside the sensorium, a bit hesistant at the false sunlight—though after a few moments he leans in a little further, glancing up before looking around.

[identity profile] cutintomyheart.livejournal.com 2009-04-10 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh, hi," Chris says, taking half a step properly inside, and he looks over at the junkyard curiously. He seems a little—on-edge about something, though it's not clear just what. "...It's nice," he comments, not sure of what to say.

[identity profile] cutintomyheart.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
"I sunburn very easily... The ship isn't doing it, I guess because it's all fake, but..." He squints and glances up before back at Dean. "It's weird actually being outside, or something like it, I guess."

Chris looks a little sheepish at having explained this.

[identity profile] cutintomyheart.livejournal.com 2009-04-13 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Chris shuffles in finally, hesitantly heading straight for the shade once he's there. "I've already been in the city and it hasn't done anything, so I don't think this will..."
