A needle-tipped tendril pricks 'Vadum's arm, and any emotions still in his mind would begin to fuzz-out slightly.
After a few silent moments, the memories begin to creep back into his mind.
The Shadow of Intent. The command crew moved about in their usual tasks as 'Vadum watched the monitors before him, the Arbiter standing next to him. In a few moments, they would exit slipspace above Sanghelios.
What they would find when they arrived, however, was horrifying.
The planet itself was burning, whole continents upheaved. Surrounding the planet were horrifying organic ships.
The enraged crew prepares for battle, both 'Vadum and the Arbiter barking orders left and right. The ship prepared to fire everything it had at the enemy.
The first volleys were launched, directly hitting the enemy. Yet the crew was shocked to see that their best efforts had barely harmed even one of the organic vessels. With blinding speed, one of the enemy ships closed with the Shadow of Intent, the Sangheili ship unable to escape. The creature's tendrils wrap around the vessel, and the pincer-like beak slams down to slice it in half.
Suddenly, an extremely bright light begins to cloud his vision, and he is in a dark room on a metal table, being held down by figures that are too hard to make out.
Then, everything fades back to darkness. The memory ends.
