Meeting up with Aang
She knew she didn't look her best. After her training session with Kang and Ronan, she sported several bruises, a fading black eye and had a few bruised ribs that she had chosen to heal on its own. Once she got the message from Aang though, everything had changed- for a start the aggravating haze and lack of memories she'd had for the past few weeks seemed to fill up a little and she remembered EVERYTHING: the months preparing for the Nightmare King, the talking with other people of the crew who lent a hand, Aang getting shot, Aang healing, visiting Griff...and of course her particularly intimate encounter with Aang that had left the two of them hosed down via Stacy. All of those feelings were nothing to the fact that he was HERE, that she remembered he'd been trying to protect her and the rest of the crew.
She was quietly furious with Stacy of course: why had Stacy blocked her memory in the first place only to bring it back now? It wasn't a fully concentrated anger though: she was all too happy that she could finally see him, that he'd come back after all. So she tore down the hallways of the ship to get to him, to find the Sensorium that housed the one person that had always been missing that she had desperately hoped she would see here, despite that quiet despair of knowing he might never appear. It was gone now.

When she reaches the Sensorium, she'll find Appa there, grazing in the background and Aang sitting in a lotus position, expression placid, eyes closed.

"Hey! Aang!" He has a huge grin on his face, of course. He's missed his bro.

But even Katara had understood that meditating, especially for Aang, required some concentration. So when she saw him, she took a huge breath, walking over to Appa and petting him on the nose. "Hi Appa!" she said, giving the enormous flying bison a hug. "I really missed you!"
When she heard her brother come in and immediately greet Aang, she almost had half a mind to admonish him for breaking Aang's concentration: but if it woke him, she wasn't going to complain. She felt like she hadn't seen her brother in a long time either.
So she walked over towards Aang, stilling her dueling emotions.
"Sokka, you heard too!"

"I don't think...we really got a chance to all hug properly before."
Since he'd been freaking out. His time running mazes, oddly, had actually done him good, because it'd given him time alone to think.

"You're okay. You're okay. You're back and it's gonna be okay now, really. We're back together." He sniffles quietly. Those aren't tears. And even if they were they would be manly tears of manliness.

"I...I feel like I almost forgot you Aang," Katara said. "I'm sure the others were feeling the same way, or Zuko and Toph would be here by now. We all really missed you, and now you;re here and we remember everything: I'm SO glad you're back!"
no subject
"What's really great is I feel better now, too. I had a lot of time to think."
no subject
"And thinking is good. What were you thinking about?" Way to ask an open-ended question. Could be good, bad. Sokka doesn't know.
no subject
"Yeah, what?" Katara asked, echoing Sokka's sentiments. Would definitely explain why he'd been meditating in the Sensorium.

"About the future," he says to them both. "Because I realized if I could survive that, if everyone the ship could work together to fight something as horrible as the Nightmare King, we have a chance of ending this war and bringing back our worlds."
He wipes at his eyes with the sleeve of his robes.
"It made it easier to let the past go, thinking of the future."
He's back, guys. He's even had time to work through the angst.

"We always do, don't we? We're here for you, same as always. I know that we can win this, no matter how long it takes."

"It will take awhile, and we may even have to start getting another forum running when we can," Katara said. "I've talked with a few people on the ship: they're all very different, and they all have different ideas about the Ohm and Stacy. A lot of what we have to do starts with trust: we have to get the people on this ship to unify, knowing that without each other's good faith, we can be torn apart. If the ship needs anything right now Aang, its you and your experience with the Ohm."
She took his hand, smiling. "I know you can do it. You did it before."
