Music for the soul [Open]
Kate had been checking around for something, and she found one that looked very similar to the cello she used to play on. She beamed, and almost hugged the instrument upon finding it. She loved being an Avenger, but music was another joy for her. Always had been. She contently hummed as she walked around the city, and found an area relatively free of rubble. She sat down on a bench, and began to play. Relaxing as rich classical cello movement began to fill the air.

She liked a lot of it, and it was all very interesting, but what she loved most of all was hearing something live played, rather than just a recording. Nothing compared to hearing it close up, feeling the notes tremble through her body, eliciting a response that couldn't come close with just a recording. When she heard the notes of the cello filling the air, she was swept into that feeling: she sighed, closing her eyes and lifting her head, following the sound. She wanted to get closer, hear it, see the instrument and observed who played it.
It wasn't long before she noticed Kate and grinned. Quietly, she sat cross legged and closed her eyes, breathing in and out as she listened. She didn't want to disturb her.

"Hi."

"That was beautiful Kate," she said, smiling. "I think of all the different stuff I learn about on the ship, hearing live music is one of the more pleasurable things. What is that you're playing?"

"Well," Katara said, "they do, although I only had a little bit of experience with hearing them being played. I'm afraid that compared to some of the people in the group back home, I'm not knowledgeable about music and instruments. It comes with being in the water tribe for so long. But Aang and Zuko would talk about some of the instruments though: I think the one I know the best would be the tsungi horn. There are other instruments too. I feel bad that I didn't really get to learn them all."

She paused. "Thanks. So, um, how have you been?"
