Just a look

Loren had been on the meatship for a long time and there were still some places she hadn't been to. Take Engineering, for example. Which was why she was down here for a visit, just a look around really.

And if she happened to see anyone, well she was always up for making new friends. Provided they weren't Yeerks.

Loren beamed. "I guess it is. Thanks." And now that he had mentioned it Loren caught herself toying with the ring. She made herself stop before it accidentally fell off or something. "Good eyes."

"Thanks." Loren couldn't help but grin. "We haven't really talked about the ceremony. But I think on a ship it's traditional for the Captain to do it. Well, at least in my world."
