Reporting back [R for Cussing]
Having shaken off Chaucer after the huge meeting of all the crewmates, Dean is finally getting the chance to head back to the Med Bay to fill Sam in. Of course, still being off balance and out of sorts, Sam had had to stay behind, and as much as Dean didn't like leaving him places by himself for extended periods of time (because the last time that had happened, Dean had ended up in Hell), he'd figured he should go anyway. Meet some people, get a grip on the situation, and protect the underdogs. Same old, same old.
But he's glad to be back, and when he pushes through the door and heads to Sam's bed, he's grinning.
"Heeey, Sammy. You missed a helluva meeting," says Dean, pulling at the plant suit at his forearms. He's still not used to having it on, and he really misses his old clothes. Of course, he's got his amulet, so he's grateful for that, at least.

He goes back to looking at his magazine.

"Hey, the hell did you get a magazine?"
no subject
"It was under that guy's pillow," he nodded in the direction of the bed that Sawyer had requisitioned for himself. "So I borrowed it."
He flipped another page of the Playboy.
no subject
"You stole a magazine from that jackass?"

"Well, I see you're makin' friends," he quipped.

Aaaaand that's all he's gonna say. He's said too much, really. "Besides, not like you don't have enemies on the ship. Unless you're being Mister Nice Guy."
no subject
"No, not really. At least none that I can think of."

He turns a page.

"Are you gonna tell me what happened in the meeting, already?"

He shifts so he can lean against the wall while he's sitting on his stool. "And then they were talking about getting the fuck outta here. Which would be nice."
no subject
A beat.
"Wait. What do you mean 'I wasn't mentioned?' What'd they make you?"
no subject
And then Dean rolls his eyes. "Dude, I've been here for what, a few days? I don't exactly have VIP status. I figured you'd assume that, since you like assuming things."
He flashes Sam a smirk. "I volunteered to do exploring stuff, though."

And then he stops. "... Actually, you're right. Wonder if Cas is all-powerful enough to pull our asses outta here."
