Short-Term Planning
He has eaten and napped. It was now officially time for Paco to get some socialization going. Fortunately, he had allies.
Or at least other people who were interested in doing something fun.
Paco parked himself in one of the Sensoriums, transforming it into a living room populated by couches and beanbags and other squashy sitting furniture, send out a message over the comms, and sat down to await the appearance of his people.
Enough crap had happened lately. Time for some low-key fun.

" 'Good' being in sarcastic quotes, obviously," Paco said. "But you know, it could be worse. Jaime and Brenda once got transported to a world that was actively trying to kill people. Brenda almost got eaten by squirrels."

"I do hope so," she says with a tiny smile.
She tilts her head to the side with a quizzical expression, her wavy, long white hair sliding over one shoulder. "She was attacked by small Earthan rodents?" Now that is certainly a queer situation, but not as queer as some of the things that the Legion has encountered in the past.

"Yeah, I know," Paco said, sighing. "I just wish that my space adventure didn't involve tentacles and brain slugs and space pirates."
And losing an arm. No matter how cool the cyborg-arm is.

"Awww..." Nura feels bad for Paco. He's so very sweet and kind and she doesn't like it when kind people get into the Downer moods. So, she get up out of her seat, comes over, and gives Paco a warm hug. "If you went against those types of foes, then you are epitome of...what was the 21st century term...cool?"

"The Reach?" Her arm brushes against his as she leans forward and turns her head towards him in interest.

"Evil world-conquering buggy aliens," Paco said. "They go around acting like they're all above-the-board nice guys and all that, but they were secretly putting mind-control drugs in our water and plotting to blow up part of Earth and sell all the humans into slavery. That was after they figured out that Jaime hadn't been brainwashed into being their mook."
Paco liked telling this story. It was a damn good one, if he said so himself.
"So while Jaime's up in outer space, slapping them in the face with their own technology, they send an army of their big guys down to kill us -- me and Brenda and Jaime's family. Needless to say, it didn't work. We had a little help from a few super heroes, but it was mostly us kicking carapace and taking names. Me and Brenda took out a guy about Master Chief's size all on our own."
