Paula would have done a curtsy in turn, but there was the whole issue of not having a dress anymore. A return nod of her head would have to suffice. "Ran Fan," Paula repeated slowly, getting a feel for the name so she could remember it better. It certainly sounded exotic!

Her eyes fell to Ran Fan's arm, and she was briefly amazed that she hadn't noticed before. Or she was just busy being so amazed by everything and everyone in this room.
