His face feels like a raw steak. From what he'd seen in his reflection, 'hamburger' might be a better description. It's not the worst of the pain in his body, compared to the broken ribs that feel like ground glass whenever he breathes, but it's the most visible. If it were just the pain, he could handle it, but he's drained, physically and mentally. He knows what he needs, a quick jaunt near a sun, but getting this airlock door to open is easier said than done.
He pounds on it again, weakly. "Just need a bit of sun. Open up."

"I know my condition." He turns around and slumps against the wall, sliding down until he's sitting. "And I'm telling you, all I need is some sunlight."
||You must report to medical.||
"You're as bad as the Midnighter." He scowls at a wall, then lets his head droop a bit. "I don't need medical."

The girl lifts her hands to her chest, and a glowing jewel manifests floating above her palms. "This is the Heart of Kandrakar. It emits starlight. Kon sunbathes in it when he needs a boost, so maybe it can help you too."

After a moment, he pushes himself into standing. "If you wanna give it a shot, go ahead." Trying never hurt anyone, right?

"Is that helping?"

Oh, okay. Yeah, that actually feels a little...
Apollo closes his eyes, taking a deep breath. "I hate to ask, but could you turn it up somehow?" It's not that it isn't enough, the effects are immediately obvious. His face is beginning to smooth out, extremely slowly. New skin is appearing in patches, and the swelling is gradually going down.
But it's slow.

She turns her face away and calls the power up a notch. The Heart glows like a tiny, tiny star. It's slow, but fortunately, she can keep this up.

He holds up his hands, laughing. "Okay, I'm good now." More power would be fine, but he doesn't want to risk wearing the girl out.

She's beaming. She likes being helpful.
"I'm Will, by the way. Are you sure you're okay now?"
She's admiring the halo. Neat!

"Apollo. Sorry." He gives her a grin, and a joking little salute. "I'm perfectly fine now. Thanks for the help."
no subject
"Apollo? That's a god's name, isn't it?"
If he turns out to be THE Apollo, Will's just going to . . . well, not ever not expect anything again.

"So . . . you're not THE Apollo? I'd almost expect it, at this point."

"Well I know there's another guy on board who needs the sunlight. He got one of the people here to magically conquer him some. I could try to do that."

He closes his eyes when he feels the first rays of light hitting his exhausted body, and takes a sharp, shuddering breath. "That feels good." Maybe he should have talked to the kid earlier.
As his body absorbs more of the sunlight, the injuries on his face start to smooth out, cuts sealing themselves and bruises fading into healthy, tanned skin.

She lifts an eyebrow and smirks challengingly. "Unless you aren't going to?"
