The Challenge From Beyond - The Final Confrontation
Welcome to the Unholy Cathedral at the heart of Escherville. It is here, in this place, that the Nightmare King has made his bid for release.
And he will not be stopped by the likes of you.
More monstrosities pour out of every angle, intent on ending this adventure. These monsters are every bit as horrific as the ones you all faced to get to this point, though you will quickly notice there is something drastically different about them.
Magic does not affect these creatures. At all.
Your spells do nothing. Your prayers are meaningless. The power of your God is useless against them.
No force in heaven or hell can affect them.
Nothing at all Magical can hurt them.

The words she speaks make her skin crack, but the chains hold her together until she can find the final word—"!"
Silence, for a long, long moment, and then...
"Nyarlathotep," she says, as if it had simply come to her in an absent moment.

Come, friends, Cargn says to the others. It is time to end this.
He once again returns to his form of spiritual energy, reaching out to each of the others. He begins to pull them back to the physical plane as the King of Nightmares--Nyarlathotep--reached out to strike them again.
It would be a rough transition back to their physical bodies, but now was not the time to take things slowly. As his consciousness settled back into his body, Cargn stood up, spitting the blood in his mouth onto the ground and wiping what was on his face with his hand.
"Channel your energy through the circle," he says to the others as they would be regaining their bearings, "and I shall bring this to an end."

Zelda lets her eyes slip shut, the magic of the circle and the stain on the world that is the Nightmare King all she can see now. There's light growing between her cupped and upraised hands, a tremendously bright light, bright enough that the details can't be determined, glowing on the back of her right hand.
Eyes still closed, she takes a breath and channels as much of her power, and Nayru's power, and even what of Sheik's power he can spare, through the circle.
They'll see this through.

His arms were already beginning to crack and bleed from transferring too much (not that they'd really managed to heal up yet from Kala's outburst in the park), but this was the final push. They'd be done soon, all of this crap taken care of, and he could slink off to his own abyss for a nice, long drink.

Back in his body, Daimon let out a short, stifled cry and his body jerked. He kept himself upright for a moment, before falling back.

Suddenly, a bright channel of light enveloped the corpse like a spotlight, shining down from some point up above from an unknown and unseen source. Then, just as quickly as it had appeared, it vanished.
Back in his host vessel, Castiel's eyes opened and he slowly got to his feet, seeming unfazed by the entire ordeal. He glanced around at his companions, seeing that each of them--aside from the unconscious Daimon--had returned relatively unharmed then, without saying a word, lowered his head as if he were about to begin praying.

"I hereby call upon the Seven Seals which bind reality so that the beast Nyarlathotep may be banished!" he called out as reality around them began to warp as the King of Nightmares attempted to tear its way into reality, the circles the only thing keeping them safe.
"I cast open the First Seal of Shadows, so that you shall have nowhere to hide! I cast open the Second Seal of Light, so that the righteous light of the Emperor may cast you out!"
The room begins to become unnaturally light, all of the shadows in the room fading into nothing. Cracks begin to form in the air around them, the same inky black tendrils as earlier tearing their way through.
"I cast open the Third Seal of Death, for even in death the righteous shall hunt you! I cast open the Fourth Seal of Life, for you are anathema to all that lives!"
The Stone that once held the daemon bound cracks completely in half, and an unnatural sound, like the buzzing of flies or the wailing of the damned, begins to sound painfully in each of their skulls.
"I cast open the Fifth Seal of Chaos, and bring all of your plans to ruin! I cast open the Sixth Seal of Order, and wield all of the forces of reality against you!"
Another tear appears above where the Stone stood, and one of the daemon's horrible, horrible eyes stared through, straight at Cargn. Hundreds of the shadow tendrils shot straight towards him, intent on slaying him before he could finish the rite.
Cargn sneered in grim defiance as he continued.
"I cast open the Final Seal of Reality, that which has no name, and issue one single, perfect command..."
"Nyarlathotep! Now, and forevermore..."
The tendrils nearly reached him as he spoke his final line.
"BEGONE!"
The room is suddenly filled with pure, blinding white light, and there is the sound of a horrifying, unearthly roar as the room begins to shake violently.
And then, suddenly, it all stops.
When they came to, they would find themselves in a stark white, futuristic laboratory room, the remnants of the Stone laying in the center of the room. This was the rooms true form, from before the influence of King of Nightmares had warped it into the Cathedral.
"Well," Cargn says after falling to one knee. "That was...eventful."

He'd expended far too much energy, but he managed to push himself to sit, blinking at the remains of the Stone before he found the wits to be able to speak.
Might be I wasn' payin' enough attention when you were talkin', Roxie, but...did we jus' go up 'gainst the Crawlin' Chaos--one o' the Elder Gods--an' live?

"Unless anyone has any objections, I'm going to go get sorely drunk and try 'n forget any of this happened." Okay, maybe he'd swing by the medbay on his way, but that'd be a decision for later.
