Heroes Assemble [Open to all Marvel Universe Pups]

Carol really didn't know what she was doing as she made the post to the com. Sure she had been sick and tired of all of them dancing around each other, grouping off, being just people rather than heroes from the same world. She'd noticed the other heroes forming a team, they got on so well it made her sick to think about her own world.

"God Steve, you'd be pulling your own hair out if you saw us all like this." She knew talking to the dead in the Sensoriums wasn't a good idea, but she couldn't help it. As she moved into the room, she looked around herself. Her first thought was to form the Avengers memorial garden, but the mutants on board wouldn't like that. She'd been at Xavier's plenty of times, but the Avengers weren't connected to that place.

"Central Park please. Add in the memorial garden from both the Avengers mansion and Xavier's." She didn't know if it'd work to help connect them all or not, but maybe it would. As she stared at the statues she moved to an empty section and stood, her Ms. Marvel costume appearing on her body as she stood at attention.

She wasn't Captain America, or even Captain Marvel. But she'd led the Avengers before, and damn it she'd do it again.

Who'd have thought that Gambit, of all people, would be the first one to arrive. Mr. Stay-Up Late and Roll-In in the Middle of the Night was the first one to the meeting. Was he feeling the need to feel part of a group again? Or was it just because the woman who had sent him the message was gorgeous?

"You called, mon cher?" he said, announcing his presence as he stepped into the senorium.

[identity profile] cardsharkgambit.livejournal.com 2010-02-14 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"No, not for nothin," Remy replied with a grin as he moved over to an empty bench and sat down, draping his arms across the back of it. "You can hold your breath for Gambit anytime."

[identity profile] marvelouscarol.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Carol blinked at the man. She really wasn't going to go there. Really. No. One, the man was dating Rogue. Two, she was dating Peter. Three, he was a former villain and she didn't date villains. But damn if he wasn't attractive.

She turned her eyes away, focusing on the statue of Janet van Dyne.

[identity profile] cardsharkgambit.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Too bad for this Gambit that reason one wasn't completely true where came from. Damn right he was into Rogue, but she was still pushing him away, despite his best efforts. He wasn't a villain anymore, so reason three wasn't really in the way--not where he was concerned anyway. That just left reason two, which, oddly enough was enough to keep the perpetually flirtatious Cajun on his best behavior. Or, it would if he actually knew about reason two.

"You sure you invited de others?" he asked, looking around at the empty park and not seeing anyone from the ship.

Jonas drifted in through the doors -- literally through, Stacy did not have the Sensoriums shielded from his phasing. He nodded in greeting to Carol and drifted over to sit on the base of Scott Lang's memorial statue. He looked around the Avengers' portion of the garden, frowning a little to himself. Moments later, a statue of his predecessor coalesced from nothing.

Somewhat more contented, Jonas idly drummed his fingers against the lip of the pedestal and waited for the meeting to start.

After talking with her teammates, Kate walked in. Her eyes lingered on some of the statues in the Avenger garden area. She hadn't ever seen the ones from Xavier's school so it was surprising to see it here. Still she could understand why with how some of the X-men reacted to them.

"I don't see why we all have to train together." Cassie grumbled, walking up to Kate.

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Kate looked over at her, "We have to figure out something. These nightmares are getting worse and we have to pull together somehow."

[identity profile] psi-flames.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, roight. Like 'at ain't creepy at all. Jono had come along because...well, it was the right thing to do. And it wasn't like he didn't need to get out and about more.

And if his eyes lingered a bit on two statues in the X-Men section of the garden? Well, he could be forgiven that, he thought.

Wanda paused the moment she stepped into the Sensoriums and-

The statues.

"Most of these people are not dead where I am from." Wanda folded her arms. "I would like to think they are still in podsleep. I recognize you want to give respects to the dead, but I am not sure this is an appropriate venue."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
There was a nervous teenager glancing her way who commented, "A lot of us are from later, and I guess she didn't know when some were coming in from. You're really from a lot earlier aren't you?"

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Kate could agree on that sentiment as her blue eyes briefly lingered at Captain America's statue as well before focusing on Ms. Marvel.

"I am, and thanks for the invite. Would have saved some trouble early on if we got one of these when we first started. But it's good now."
hexyeah: (I am an Avenger)

[personal profile] hexyeah 2010-02-18 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
"I hardly need to remember their acts. And I don't need to be reminded of their absence." Wanda folded her arms and tried not to look at the statues but she kept glancing up at them, especially the one for her husband.

Danny hadn't been seeing too many of the people from his world either. He'd been keen on learning about the several other universes that the other crew members were from, especially the one that seemed to be full of super heroes like his own.

Still, he needed to get back to his old friends. Danny waves to Carol as he enters the room.

"Hello Carol. How have you been? Central Park? Nice."

[identity profile] a-fist-of-iron.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Danny gives Carol a shrug. "I don't know, they might be more understanding than that. But you made a good call, seeing how many X-Men there are." He smiles sheepishly. "Maybe we can have an Avengers meeting some other time."

[identity profile] a-fist-of-iron.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Hmm, good point." Danny remarks. "But it's nice to be around familiar faces again. So what have you been up to lately? I've mostly just been training, learning new things from some of the other martial artists here."

Meeting Time?

[identity profile] cardsharkgambit.livejournal.com 2010-02-18 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
"All right, cher," Gambit speaks up from his seat on the bench where he's been watching everyone slowly filter in. He looks up at Carol specifically. "We all here. So what you say we get dis party started, no?"

"Or we could wait juuuuust a second." Pixie smiles brightly as she flits into the room. She waves at Gambit specifically, and then at the others, some of whom she only knows marginally.

Behind her trails in Patsy Walker - Hellcat - who Pixie had found wandering around. She didn't know Patsy so well, but she knew of her (Pixie loved her fashion magazines), and so she'd dragged her along.

"So...what's going?"

Re: Meeting Time?

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
"We were just seeing who else was going to come. Glad you guys could make it." It was still more of the Avengers than the X-Men but to be expected. Especially with attitudes like Julian's toward them.

"Patsy!" Wanda smiled and went over to her friend. "When did you get here? I haven't seen you here before."

Billy wasn't going to talk to anyone. He was just going to go over and hide behind one of the statues. Especially as Wanda seemed to be having a good time. He didn't want to ruin that. Plus he wanted to make sure he could watch out for Tony. If the man even showed up.

"Wanda!" Patsy squealed and wrapped her arms around her friend. "Ohmygosh, it's been so long! Or so short! Or...something. Hi! Awhile! Or not long at all. I don't know? How about you?"
hexyeah: (pleasant)

Re: Meeting Time?

[personal profile] hexyeah 2010-02-21 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Far longer than I would like, in any case. I've been well! Better now that you are here. I have missed my friends."

Re: Meeting Time?

[identity profile] patsywalker.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
"I have too!" Patsy says. "I have met some nice people though. Like Pixie." Patsy pointed to a pink-haired girl who was flittering about, shooting Wanda some very suspicious glances. "And also, someone named Daimon Hellstrom."

"Yes, there are many good people on board. I only wish there were more familiar faces. It would be comforting to know they're here."

Re: Meeting Time?

[identity profile] sniff-my-dust.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Speaking of comforting...

Pixie flits up between Wanda and Patsy. She flits behind one of Patsy's shoulders and peeks out at Wanda before flitting back and then peaking out from behind another shoulder.

"Umm. Hello?" She looks terrified.

Re: Meeting Time?

[personal profile] hexyeah 2010-02-21 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
"...Hello. You're Pixie? I'm the Scarlet Witch, or Wanda if you prefer." She had no idea why she was so frightened. ...Unless this had something to do with an alternate somehow depowering many mutants? She still wasn't sure if Bobby was joking or not.

Re: Meeting Time?

[identity profile] sniff-my-dust.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Blink blink blink.

She seemed so...nice. And kind. Not at all like the crazy bwitch who did...what she did.

Right?

She flits back behind Patsy and brings her head out the other end. "Yes. I'm Pixie," she says. "Umm. Can I ask you a question?" She doesn't wait for a reply. "What's your current stance on mutants? You don't think there are too many of them, do you?"
hexyeah: (ugh)

Re: Meeting Time?

[personal profile] hexyeah 2010-02-21 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Wanda rubbed her forehead. So that hadn't been a joke. "No, I do not. Just the opposite, sometimes I wish there were only mutants. It would make dealings with my neighbors easier. Well, it... would have."

Re: Meeting Time?

[identity profile] sniff-my-dust.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
"..." Pixie looked at Patsy for a reaction, but Patsy looked just as confused as her.

Ugh.

"Oh. Umm. That's...well..." Pixie blinked. "Just...don't say no more humans, okay?"

"I don't know what the Scarlet Witch you knew was capable of, but my powers do not work the way hers do. You have nothing to worry about."

Re: Meeting Time?

[identity profile] sniff-my-dust.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't really know her," Pixie admitted, a little sheepishly. She felt kind of bad now. "She was kind of our version of, umm, the bogeyman." ....maybe she shouldn't have said that.
hexyeah: (pretty in pink (or red))

Re: Meeting Time?

[personal profile] hexyeah 2010-02-21 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
"...I see. Well, I'm... sorry you had that experience." What else was she supposed to say? This was rather awkward.

Re: Meeting Time?

[identity profile] sniff-my-dust.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm sorry. That was...I shouldn't have said that." Pixie frowned. "That was a terrible thing of me to say." She comes out from behind Patsy now. "If it helps any, I probably said it because I'm missing a piece of my soul."
hexyeah: (eyeflash)

"Oh, no no, not you. You were just kind of responsible for a lot of my friends dying. No, this happened to me in Limbo. Magik, actually." Pixie blanched. "I mean, you didn't kill them. It's just, you said that horrib - umm." Pixie blinked. "I'm just going to shut up now," she said, before flitting all the way to the other side of the room.
