Reaching their destination, Ahava made sure to settle Muraki on one of the weirdly organic beds before stepping back and waving her hand loosely to indicate the rest of the room. "And this," she said calmly, "is the Medical Bay."

Considering the sheer size of the room and the technology within it, the name almost didn't seem to do it justice, but she continued regardless. "I haven't been here often since it's not really my area and I imagine you'll get more use out of it than I will, but I do know enough to at least make sure you're really feeling alright after that incident." It wouldn't be the first time someone tried to downplay how badly they were effected.

"Not to mention I'm sure someone will come along soon enough to see what's going on," she added. "Maybe you'll get to meet Jean Grey as well. She's head of Medical, though I don't know if you've spoken already."

[ooc: Both Ahava and Muraki are available for threading here! They'll probably be hanging around together, but Ava may leave and let Muraki talk to people a bit or can equally be dragged off to talk to someone by herself, so if you only want one of them, feel free to say so in the subject line.]

Even considering the size of the ship, the Medical Bay was far larger than he expected. And far more interesting. His own technology, though advanced for his time, seemed extremely primitive in comparison despite the strange organic quality to everything in the room. He was almost itching to test it... And he would have, if there wasn't another pest to look after first.

"We spoke briefly." He replied, shaking his head a little. "I assure you, there's nothing to be concerned about. At least, nothing a brief rest won't take care of."

"Before anyone else gets here... I wanted to -" Impale you on that interesting looking implement to your left. "Thank you." Muraki smiled slightly. "It looks as if you've saved me a second time, Doctor Ahava. It's going to be difficult to return the favour if we keep meeting like that."

"Maybe not in the strictest sense, but the simple familiarity of a food you remember means a great deal when you may be the only one left to remember it." He said quietly, voice measured.

It was lucky that she hadn't seen the boy, he thought. Hisoka, torn up, his pale flesh painted red by the cruel, precise lines of Muraki's curse... that would have been difficult to explain, if less infuriating.

There was a brief pause in his breathing, but no more than that. This woman wasn't stupid, and he couldn't afford a misstep from overwrought sentimentality. "You already know." He replied, head tilted so the light made his glasses opaque. "They were former patients of mine."

Hmm. "Maybe I'm too sentimental."

Her question confirmed what he already knew. The resemblance he and Tsuzuki had with eachother went far deeper than skin... but the resemblance he had with that woman was unfortunately indisputable. His fingers clenched against the strange fleshy substance of the bed, nails digging deep. This time it wasn't a calculated gesture. It was an honest attempt to refrain from ripping her tongue out there and then.

He would accept the consequences before he let her breathe a word of this.

He shook his head. "I understand that. Or at least, in the waking world, I accept it... but we all have our demons, don't we?" He pushed his glasses up, silver eyes narrow. "They were only nightmare images. However, I would prefer if the subject wasn't discussed at all. With anyone. I can trust you, can't I, Ahava?"

Muraki sighed silently, letting the tension drain out of his shoulders. He even released his grip on the bed.

"There's no need to apologize. If anything, I'm sorry you had to see what you did." He paused, considering her closely. "Are you alright? Things like that can only be more upsetting, I imagine, to someone who doesn't see them very often."

"I hope not." He replied with a quiet laugh, like he found the very idea of 'scaring her off' to be nothing more than a joke.

"Have you seen things like that during your time here? I don't even know how long you've been awake."

He was more surprised than disbelieving. Zombies. That was, in comparison to the last few days, almost a normal occurrence.

He'd never been one to play coy, even as a front, and the smirk earned her lazy, charming smile. "So I've noticed. Your dreams must be very interesting."
