Looking for personal objects [Open]

Beckett was down in the Weapons and Possessions locker, digging through the piles of unclaimed items, looking for two particular objects: her gun, and her police badge. The gun was her main focus; she hated being unarmed in a place like this, and the badge was just an object of convenience... A reminder of who she was and what she did.

She was absorbed in her search, but that didn't mean she couldn't tell when someone was coming up behind her. It was ironic how the timing worked out, because just as she got the feeling that she wasn't alone, she touched something familiar. Looking down, she saw it was her gun; the same one she carried around every day, and kept on her even at night.

With a smile, she picked up the weapon, and checked to see if it was loaded. It was, which made her relax a bit. Just having it there made some of the unease go away. She hadn't found her police badge, but the gun was enough for now, so she turned around and asked, "Who's there?"

"Hold your claws, it's just me," Grim Eyes said, pushing some of the other belongings in the locker aside as she searched. "The Captain," she said the word with not a little venom, "has given me permission," here, even more venom, "to reclaim my spear."

She kicked aside something long and metal - to Beckett it might look like a wrist-mounted gun of some kind, but to Grim Eyes it just looked like junk. "Not that I could find a damn thing in here. Hooves of the Antelope, but this is an unholy mess. Wonder when the last time they had someone down here to clear it all out was?"

Grim Eyes scratched at the base of her mane for a moment. She was getting used to the weirdness, and the plantsuit, but it still rubbed all her fur in strange directions. "It's about so high-" she held her hand out level with her chin- "And the spearhead is held on the haft with ties. Someone broke it." She grumbled the last part, pushing aside another object she didn't recognize in her continued search. The fact that it was her adopted cousin that broke it, and that she had been trying to eat Digger at the time, didn't merit mentioning.

"Wow, you noticed?" Dani asked, popping into view. Not that it was weird enough she appeared from nowhere, the floating and the glowing eyes just added to it.

Not to mention she was one of the few crew members without the plantsuit. The modified hazmat suit of her ghost morph was far more comfortable than the living tissue. "You don't have a ghost sense do you?"

"Really? Heh, then you are good," Dani said, floating over and looking around.

"Never been in a property room for a cop place. Been too other places, though never this big, but it is for millions of people. Or more." One day she was gonna fly around that how place just to see how long it took.

"I'm half ghost. Thus, ghost powers," Dani said, grinning widely. And ghosts fly, so there ya go.

"It's amazing what you can find when you rummage. Sure, some stuff could be useless, but you can also find a treasure." Or food. Food was good when one was homeless. "And there could be. Stacy is at least the size of a moon, if not bigger."

"Unless you're an expert on ghost biology, I can't really explain it yet. I've memorized the scientific explanation, but I'm still working on actually understanding it myself. But yeah, it's possible. Especially since there's at least two of us on board and I wouldn't doubt if the third was in the pod caverns somewhere," Dani said with a shrug. After all, if she was pulled here and Danny was pulled here, why not Vlad who had been a major part of their lives? As nice as it would be to never have to see him again. "And ghosts definitely exist on my world. My cousin's town is completely overrun with them."

Dani nodded. "I've seen it when we went to a world to 'Save Christmas.'"

Dani nodded. "it is! And what about you? What do you do?" Dani asked.

"Yep! Had a great spirit of giving, an evil corporation, and a lot of charity work to do. It was fun."

"Oh, didn't think anyone was in here." Ava says, poking her head around a pile of assorted junk and giving the gun a rather skeptical look. She's not a fan of guns. She never has been, really; they don't work well on the shadow monsters, she's found, and they're too big to fit into most of her cute purses.

"Just looking around, mostly. This place is worse than my closet..." Ava says, giving the cavern around her an incredulous look. "Although I found my boots (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41DTECYFX7L._AA280_.jpg)!"

"Um... kinda? I mean, the floor is squishy and if I don't get a pair of shoes I think I'll go crazy." Ava says with a shrug. Now if only she could find one of her suitcases...

Ava shrugs. "That's really what I'm looking for, to be honest, because, um... I'm wearing a bodysuit with a pulse. This is so not okay."

"Will do. I'm Ava Ballantyne, by the way." the blonde teenager says, dropping her boots to the floor and standing up. She doesn't really expect Beckett to recognize the name, especially not here, but she's part of a fairly prominent Upper East Side family.

"Whoa, hey," a young man said, putting his hands up to show he wasn't armed. "Easy there. I was just coming down here to lock some things away for a while." He looked fairly normal, dressed in jeans and a black tee (though the cut seemed may have seemed a bit odd). But he was holding what resembled a folded up armored black leotard.

"Police badge, huh?" He repeated, then smirked. "Well, that would explain why you put your gun on me. I think I give of a pheromone or somethin' that makes cops shoot at me on sight." Hyperbole, yes, but he and law enforcers just never got along.
