Wingardium Leviosa'd [Open]

There are uncharacteristically dark crescents under Luna's protuberant eyes, their usual twinkle a little dimmer than it's been of late. She seems to be drooping in an odd way, shoulders curled forwards in a hunch, hair unnoticed in her face, fingers dull and slow.

Still, even exhaustion and nightmares can't stop Luna Lovegood from being Luna Lovegood - no matter how much they make her worry that Katara was right about... - and, as such, she has settled herself in the library, not particularly uncommon for her. Today, however, she isn't reading.

Today, she is juggling book tablets with her wand, a vague look of interest fixed on her pale face as Hogwarts: A History spins past the 1960 edition of The Oxford English Dictionary, The Encyclopaedia Brittanica bumping corners with Lolita.

"And Odo the hero, they bore him back home
To the place he had known as a lad,
They laid him to rest with his hat inside out
And his wand snapped in two, which was sad,
" she sings quietly, chin resting in the palm of her free hand as she twirls the four books into a counter-clockwise formation, screens glinting in the light, a sigh escaping.

"I miss normal books."

"Oh, but futuristic screens are so environmentally friendly. They save the rainforests, or so I heard," Rei called out from one of the squishy couches where he was sitting, reading Plato's The Republic. He too seemed a little run down. His normally meticulously groomed sideburns and facial hair was somewhat scruffy and out of place, and the air of confidence he tried so hard to maintain was a bit off. Still, he was smiling, and doing his best to be optimistic.

"That's a neat trick you have there," he nodded towards the floating books. "Do you have telekinesis?"

Hunter's not sure if Luna's talking to herself or to him; after all, this is Luna Lovegood. She could be speaking to a thestral for all he knows, although he's almost entirely certain he'd notice if a giant leathery-winged black horse was in the Media Library. Still, he decides to chance a reply to her statement. If he was wrong, well... the worst that could happen would be a brief conversation full of extreme awkwardness before Hunter could extricate himself and flee to the Medbay with his copy of Gray's Anatomy.

"Doesn't everyone?" he asks, glancing up from his datapad.

There is a tiny, undignified noise of confusion from Hunter as his current choice of reading material is unceremoniously pulled from his hands. "Um... it's a human anatomy and physiology textbook." Hunter says after a moment, fidgeting in his meatchair under Luna's stare. "And, well, I think in this specific case I don't mind e-books, because the paper copies of that book are about 1600 pages long and I don't particularly care to tote that around for real long."

"So does everyone, kid," a half distracted voice came from Indiana.

The man in the fedora hadn't actually noticed the floating books yet. He was too busy inspecting his own haul of data pads, which covered a variety of topics, but for the most part were all about ancient civilizations of various worlds. He had to occupy himself somehow.

"Fine. Almost everyone misses real books," he replies while eying his top data pad. He scrolled through it, mumbling something, before placing it back on the top of his stack and turned his attention back to the girl.

"No you don't..." He trails off when he finally looks over at the girl. Well, he really isn't looking at the girl as much as he's looking at her tablets floating around. He furrows his brow, "How are you doing that?"

"You are not the only one," says Goliath, over his latest electronic reader.

He considers her a moment before shrugging.

"That is so."

There are worse things she could focus on.

Upon viewing her wandwork, he adds, "You are rather gifted."

Magic as he knows it usually involves more latin.

Mal was walking casually through the library, not looking for anything in particular, except for the chance to think about something else besides the nightmares that had been bothering him for several days now. It wasn't much of a comfort, but at least he wasn't alone.

As he was walking, he heard someone singing quietly, and he decided to get a closer look. He walked up, and heard the person (a girl) sigh to herself about missing books.

"Can't say I feel the same, since I'm not much of a book person, but I guess adjustin's kinda hard," Mal said as some sort of greeting.
