Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing

The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.

The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.

[ooc: This time anyone can post in. REMEMBER TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE, THO. This is set after the mission so mission peoples can meet the newbies. Latecomer newbies, if you want, you can just tag your guys into this one to make things easier.]

"Same for me. Though that's probably a good thing. My life, and all of the X-Men... we haven't been living the easy life. What with the mansion being gone for good, Scott moving us all over the place, you dad popping in on us.." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "To tell ya the truth, I had expected to find Lorna running around, just to fit in with how much my life utterly sucks."

Wanda stiffened at the mention of her father. "I'm sorry to hear that. None of that has happened yet for me. I assume by my father you mean Magneto?"

"The one and only." He smiled a bit and nodded. "I kinda figured you were from the past. But it really doesn't matter. You're dad's not a horribly bad guy, once he stops trying to kill you. Your brother however? I think he got worse over the years." He laughed a bit. "But I didn't expect him to get better. He wouldn't be Pietro otherwise."

"I don't want to talk about Magneto." Wanda said curtly. "What do you mean about Pietro? Is he all right when you're from?"

"Sure he's fine. He's an Avenger, running around with hank Pym and his team." He shrugged a bit and looked to the ground. "They've been trying to stay out of the US, because Osborn gets his panties in a twist when another team of Avengers is cheered. And well, Pym's got his shit finally together. His team's good."

Wanda was looking at you very oddly, Bobby Drake, very oddly.

"...I'm sorry, I don't think we're from the same world, Bobby."

"Hmm. Guess that's a possibility. Then again, most people thought it all sounded crazy when it started happening. Specially the Pym's Avenger thing. Guy can barely hold his own life in check, let alone run a whole team. Steve Rogers he is not." He shrugged a bit and frowned. "But you know, I don't think we're from different universes. Probably just different time periods. Oi." He rubbed at his temples. "Time travel makes my brain hurt."

Wanda shook her head. "I have no idea who 'Osborn' is and there's only one team of Avengers. That and the way you talked about Magneto makes me believe that we aren't from the same world."

"Osborn is Norman Osborn. If he's not in your world, then yeah, you are probably from another world. As for the different teams of Avengers. It's only happened recently. Unless you could the West Coast Avengers..." He shook his head and frowned. "As for Magneto, that's all new too. Like in the last week."

"I don't remember him. And- a week? It's been a week and you believed his lies? Bobby-" Wanda bit her tongue. "No, perhaps- perhaps the Magneto you know is different."

"We really don't have a choice but to trust him. There's only a hand full of us left. We can't go around turning guys away because they tried to kill us. We'd have no one there." He shook his head and frowned. "Heck we've got to put up with Toad. And if I had to choose, I'd hang with Mags before that fly eater any day."

Toad.

"Your world is very different from mine." Was all Wanda could say.

"That's still a possibility." He smiled a bit more. "Actually, that'd make it a hundred times more awesome. As you wouldn't go nuts and destroy the whole mutant race... oops.. I don't think I was suppose to say that."

There was only one way to respond to that.

"Right... maybe that was a weird nightmare I had..." He rubbed at the back of his head and frowned. "Or I'm from another universe like you thought."

"Do not joke. Explain this to me now."

"Well see, now this is the hard part. You see, I'm not sure how everything worked, other than when we all woke up one day the majority of mutant kind no longer had their powers. Some thought it was a blessing, but others... well not so much. Things went crazy from there." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"I'm not sure where or when it all started, just that you were loosing your mind and Emma wanted to kill you. Your brother, and the Avengers didn't even want to hear it.. and then things got strange."

"If what you say is true, how in the world could I be to blame? How in the world could anyone depower a mutant save through an inhibitor field?" This didn't make any sense.

Bobby blinked a bit and then frowned. "Well you used your powers... I guess. I don't really remember what happened and the way Scott when about telling it... I guess you just said three words and poof." He shook his head a bit.

"My powers? My hexes alter probability and I doubt even magic could do that." Wanda shook her head. "Our worlds are too different. I cannot imagine ever doing such a thing."

"Neither can I actually... which is why I'm so confused on most of it." He shook his head and frowned.

"I... suppose if I was mad, if I lost my hold on reason like my father... if I had the capability, it's possible but..." It gave her a headache thinking about. She told herself repeatedly that she was not like her biological father, that she was different but maybe you couldn't avoid- No, that wasn't it. That Wanda was different.

"I think you were pushed pretty far over the edge. And I don't think you were anything like your dad. You were sick, in need of help." He shook his head and frowned. "I really wish I knew more."
