Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing

The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.

The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.

[ooc: This time anyone can post in. REMEMBER TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE, THO. This is set after the mission so mission peoples can meet the newbies. Latecomer newbies, if you want, you can just tag your guys into this one to make things easier.]

Lex took a second to really sort through the details and make sense of this.

"You want me to keep an eye on your clone?" That seemed to be the distilled version of what Picard was asking of him.

"Yes, actually, Mister Luthor. I'm going to try and spend as much time as I can personally acclimating him to his new environment and circumstances, but I need someone he wouldn't outright see as a ... watchdog. Someone who can keep an eye on him while I'm not available."

Interesting that Picard would ask him, out of all of the rest of the crew. Lex pondered the possibilities and the angles on this, and decided that, whatever Picard's reasons, this was too good an opportunity to pass up.

"I suppose I could help with that. Suggest that he stop by the lounge one evening, and I suppose I can handle the rest from there."

"Before I forget, Mister Luthor ... how good are you at poker?"

There was a slight grin there.

"Good enough." He had closed a number of deals over a game of poker. Both by knowing when to win, and when to let his opponents win.

"Planning on putting together a game?"

"Yes, actually. It was something my senior crew used to do to unwind and get to know each other better in a less professional setting. I think it would do some good here. Add a little normalcy, if you will."
