Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing
The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.
The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.
[ooc: This time anyone can post in. REMEMBER TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE, THO. This is set after the mission so mission peoples can meet the newbies. Latecomer newbies, if you want, you can just tag your guys into this one to make things easier.]

"Attagirl." She laughed lightly. "Anyway, I got you something. You want it now?" What a question, Kelly. What a question.

Sherry's eyes widened slightly and her smile extended, as she answered in record time, "...Yes!" Really, Kelly. You should've known better.

yetbut between the two of them they probably didn't even get enough sleep for one person every week. That got a laugh and a shake of her head as she set the bag down and rummaged around inside for a bit. She soon came up with a medium sized package wrapped in brown paper and tied with string. Okay, so she wasn't into all that pretty wrapping stuff, but she had a feeling Sherry wouldn't mind too much. She handed it over. "I hope you like it."

The paper and the string didn't have a chance against a very determined twelve-year-old. Once it had been removed, she looked up at Kelly with wide, awed eyes. "This is really for me?"

Once she ripped it off, she would find a soft leather satchel (http://www.happycow.com.au/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/l/e/leather-satchel-bags-blue.jpg) folded neatly within, and opening the satchel, a digital book reader (http://www.buanaharapanstore.com/images/uploads/the%20iLiad%20Book%20Edition%20ModelER0150-002-000.jpg) with literally thousands of books loaded into it. She knew the girl liked to read. She seen her carrying all those things from the library. Maybe this would make it a little easier.
Seeing the expression on Sherry's face, she nodded smiling. "Of course it is. I hope you like them. They had the bag in pink, but I didn't think you'd go for that."

First Aid Sprays, more herbs, maybe Leon could teach her the proper way to pack things for maximum efficiency.... And considering the messes she and the other kidlets were bound to find themselves in, it would definitely come in handy for more than just books. "I like them a lot!"Never had truer words been spoken. Sherry shifted awkwardly, and sized Kelly up.
Okay. Hug time. Ready? Three, two, one!

She figured, a bag was useful. Since well, Sherry seemed the type who would appreciate it. Had she known the use the girl would get out of it though, she would have been greatly impressed. Really, how many twelve-year-olds thought that way? "I'm glad you do."
She smiled easily, and when she was hugged, she paused for a moment. It wasn't a gesture she was all too familiar with, but it gave her a queer sort of pang in her chest. Weird. Smiling, she reached down to scoop the girl off the floor and hold her easily in a gentle hug. "And thank you for that."

"Whoa..!" Sherry's expression was one of surprise as she was suddenly a lot higher in the air than she was ordinarily used to. Not even her father could lift her this high (what with there being nearly 2 feet of difference in this case). "You're, uh, you're welcome?"

"Well that's good." She wasn't surprised when the girl said things like that anymore. In fact, she'd almost come to expect them. She knew Sherry had spunk. She didn't mind being clung to, though she did shift her grip a little to make her charge a little more comfortable. At Sherry's question though, she tilted her head, a smile curving her lips.
"Yes I'm quite sure I could. Why do you ask?"
