Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing
The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.
The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.
[ooc: This time anyone can post in. REMEMBER TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE, THO. This is set after the mission so mission peoples can meet the newbies. Latecomer newbies, if you want, you can just tag your guys into this one to make things easier.]

"Perhaps, or perhaps not."
He thought for a moment, then reached into one of the bags he was carrying and pulled out a small-sized box.
"Here, maybe this will make you feel better," he stated as he offered it to her. "Just don' tell anyone you got it from me."
no subject
"Time will tell there, I guess," she said, then pinked a little when he brought out the package.
"If that's what you want," she said, "But I didn't get you anything. If you can calculate your birthday, could you tell me, so I could get something for you?"
Though really, what could anyone actually GET Lex Luthor?
no subject
"Don't worry much about that." Lex could get just about anything he wanted, so most material gifts didn't hold any significance. "Just enjoy your gift."
Inside the small box was... a snowglobe. Nothing terribly fancy, really. It was an impulse buy, some trinket he purchased simply because he now had the ability to, but he figured she might like it more. Now she could see the snow whenever she wanted.

She knew about glass, sure, and certainly there were some cute knick knacks in her world, but even Katara wondered how a glass globe could actually appear to have snow in it. It wasn't real snow of course, she could tell that much, but it WAS a wonderful gift and it would make her think fondly of the Southern Water Tribe.
So much for the "evil" Lex Luthor! She was definitely glad she hadn't agreed with Sokka about knocking him out.
"It's so pretty," Katara said, and though she was sure he would probably not appreciate the forward move, she gave him a small hug. "Thank you so much! I'll never forget The Southern Water tribe as long as I have this. Did the holidays treat you well too? You weren't hurt at all, were you?"
And right back to mother mode, Katara.

"I had a good trip," he had to admit. "I got a lot of things done. And I'm quite fine. Not a scratch on me." There was barely even a wrinkle in his new suit.

"Our trip was good too. We got a lot of prayer time, visited the dead, and even got to help out the poor! There was a little bit of trouble when those insurgents from Macrwhosis arrived, but we dealt with them pretty well. But I'm glad you're unharmed!"
no subject
"Well, I can't say I got to do all of that. But... let's just say I got to make sure Macrohard won't be in a position to bother anyone for quite a while."
no subject
"I'm glad to hear it. Those people needed more than artificial environments to help them enjoy life. I couldn't imagine what joy they'd get out of sitting by themselves playing games."
