The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
The plantsuits and space age clothing are so warm they almost forget they're in an environment that's negative seventy degrees Fahrenheit, (-21 degrees C). This would likely explain the snowball fight right in the middle of the mission. The mission that they've all forgotten. Remember the mission, guys? The mission to revive the Spirit of Giving? That mission?
They have to revive the Spirit of Giving hidden away in its own pocket dimension, accessible only by a portal they probably can't find. Where could this portal be? It could be anywhere! It could be under the ice, under the sea, at the bottom of the Arctic Ocean.
The portal could be... suddenly wavering in the sky above them, like the aurora. Yes, there it is up in the sky, pushing the clouds out of the way to expose the sky overhead, caught in its three-month night, the stars sparkling in the frigid air. The sweeping colors probably remind them of the view from Obs Deck, and as it descends down from the sky closer to the snow, it bathes them all in a curtain of flickering pinks, greens, and blues. The edges of it burn white and then the portal opens up to a white space, that they can't see into. There is the delicate sound of bells coming from somewhere.
Their snowball fight did this.
The spirit thrived on joy, after all. What else would be the key to its home?
Well, what are you waiting for, folks? Dive in.

Re: Gear
"Oh now I'm %^*&@#$ Rudolph," memories from first grade Christmas pageant flooded back. He grumped.
Re: Gear
"I do not see the point in...wearing things," she said, almost sounding like she was testing the word out. Talk about clothes wasn't something she was familiar with.
Re: Gear
Re: Gear
Re: Gear
Hand motions are nessecary for extra emphasis.
Re: Gear
"It is not that difficult."
Re: Gear
It took a moment, but he composed himself and plucked off the red nose. He grumped again (because seriously did he just let a wolf outsmart him?).
"I coulda thoughta that."
Re: Gear
"You will have to deal with those. I am unfamiliar with them, and I have no wish to learn about them."
Re: Gear
Oh yes, that was one smoooooth (http://firsttraderegistry.com/forsale/5_06/60cadillac2/1958%201960%20cadillac%20sekulich%20007.jpg) looking vehicle. Scout slid on over into the drivers seat, tenderly running a hand over the steering wheel. Oh this was nice, very nice.
The reindeer antlers sat forgotten atop his head.
Re: Gear
The Talon looked at the car interior, then at the bag before shifting down to lupus and grabbing the bag in her teeth again. Carefully, she backed into the passenger's seat, dragging the bag along with her.
Re: Gear
"So we supposed'ta deliver these gifts or somethin' now?" He didn't really want to, but he did want an excuse to go joyriding in this baby.
Re: Gear
"Apparently. We might as well begin traveling."
Re: Gear
"Holy %^, it flies." The car heaved up off the ground. It also gained about a thousand more points in the awesome department.
Re: Gear
"Yes," she said through gritted fangs. "I noticed."
Re: Gear
"Let's go," it didn't occur to Scout that his 'partner' would be anything other than completely willing to fly at incredible speeds through the air in a car. Well, maybe it did, he just didn't care.
With that, he pressed down the peddle and vroooooomed off.
Re: Gear
It was still an uncomfortable reminder than they were flying, but not seeing the ground helped. A little.
