The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
The plantsuits and space age clothing are so warm they almost forget they're in an environment that's negative seventy degrees Fahrenheit, (-21 degrees C). This would likely explain the snowball fight right in the middle of the mission. The mission that they've all forgotten. Remember the mission, guys? The mission to revive the Spirit of Giving? That mission?
They have to revive the Spirit of Giving hidden away in its own pocket dimension, accessible only by a portal they probably can't find. Where could this portal be? It could be anywhere! It could be under the ice, under the sea, at the bottom of the Arctic Ocean.
The portal could be... suddenly wavering in the sky above them, like the aurora. Yes, there it is up in the sky, pushing the clouds out of the way to expose the sky overhead, caught in its three-month night, the stars sparkling in the frigid air. The sweeping colors probably remind them of the view from Obs Deck, and as it descends down from the sky closer to the snow, it bathes them all in a curtain of flickering pinks, greens, and blues. The edges of it burn white and then the portal opens up to a white space, that they can't see into. There is the delicate sound of bells coming from somewhere.
Their snowball fight did this.
The spirit thrived on joy, after all. What else would be the key to its home?
Well, what are you waiting for, folks? Dive in.

Re: Gear
"How bad do ye think..." He breaks off abruptly as he gets a good look at Diana's outfit, and winds up staring at her instead. "Wow," he says softly, completely forgetting what he was going to ask.
Re: Gear
Terry turned to Jaime, nodding in greeting. "Hey, you try doing this voice all the time," he said, dropping his voice a couple of octaves to his 'Batman' voice. "It gets annoying after a while..." He tapered off, following Jaime's gaze. And immediately felt a bit weird - if Diana knew Bruce in his prime, she was about as old as Terry's grandmother. The image that sprang to mind with that thought was not a pleasant one.
Re: Gear
Diana raised an eyebrow at the 'Batman' voice. Most of the Justice League / Society / whathaveyou all had alter-egos but never alter-voices. Strange, was he afraid of someone learning his identity? "I'd imagine so," she commented, frowning off Jamie's 'wow'ing.
Little did Terry know Diana was much older than she appeared to be. The Amazons did not age while living on Themyscira.
Re: Gear
"Sorry," he mutters. "It's just ye look verra...um...festive." he finishes, a bit lamely.
He glances at his elf tunic, then at Terry's bat-outfit, and decides to seize on that as a distraction. Looking back up, he asks, "Ye aren't going to wear one of the costumes, Terry?"
Re: Gear
"What do you think, Princess, is the right kind of costume (http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/3395/sonicsantaj.jpg)?" he asked, hoping to interrupt any awkwardness forming as a result of two guys staring. He was socially intelligent to tell that could sometimes be a bad thing, and besides, Diana seemed nice enough from their conversation over the omnicom network.
Re: Gear
"You seem to know quite a bit about me yet I know nothing of you."
Re: Gear
Re: Gear
"Your own video game?"
Re: Gear
"A hedgehog?" Jamie interjects, giving Sonic a rather confused look. "But...hedgehogs are wee bitty brown creatures."
Re: Gear
Re: Gear
"Obviously, ye aren't from there, then." Or from anywhere he knows, which actually helps clear things up. He's perfectly willing to accept there's someplace where hedgehogs are large and blue.
"Sorry for the confusion," he says affably. "I'm Jamie."
