I've got a song that's halfway there

Adam stood a bit nervously on the stage that the Sensorium provided. He knew the audience was all fake. Well, except for Billy in the corner. But it was still nerve wracking to play in a concert where all eyes, fake or otherwise, were on him.

He gave a tentative smile to Billy and immediately started to strum the guitar in a fast tempo. The bass and drums were provided by the Sensorium quickly after, seemingly knowing how the song will go regardless.

Adam opened his mouth and sang.

[OOC: I'll be posting Youtube links throughout the post as people start tagging and all. Each song are by Eyeshine. For those who don't know, Adam Park's actor is the lead singer of Eyeshine so all these songs will be in Adam's voice regardless :3]

"Awesome. So, you sure your buddy's gonna be okay once he realizes we're all judging him?"

He's . . . he's joking. Probably.

Hear that? That's Billy taking a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. It's funny, you'd almost think he was the one getting on stage. "I'm not entirely certain. I strongly believe that he's talented enough to win you all over---perhaps not as the greatest musician of all time, but someone with some skill. He's just painfully shy, even more so than I once was. I'm hoping he'll overcome that with some outside motivation."

But Billy doesn't sound entirely sure that he's doing the right thing.

Yeah, this is Allen's "this could end badly" face.

"Hey. What if you told him the truth? Most of the audience is fake, a couple are real, and you think it'll help build up his confidence to play for real people without worrying about the WHOLE audience judging at once?"

"I wish that would work, but I'm fairly sure that he would freeze up and promptly retreat." Oh, Billy, for a genius you sure do come up with dumb ideas sometimes. "I've tried to introduce him to people more directly. It hasn't worked---he's hardly spoken to anyone here, and I'm worried."

Billy glances around the audience once, sizing them up. "I was hoping that he'd be encouraged, and perhaps be able to start conversations with some more people, but this probably wasn't the best way to go about it. I should call this off."

Jamie arches his eyebrows at Billy's statement - and Allen's reaction - and while he's tempted to make a flip remark about the situation, he realizes that's probably not such a good idea at the moment. He gives Billy a brief smile instead, and says, "I think it'll be fine. He'll understand that ye are trying to help."

With a brief nod to Allen, he scoops up his discarded robe and hat and then moves off into the crowd to go blend in with some other similarly dressed AI's.

"Aww hey man, don't let me talk you out of it. You know your buddy better than us, maybe a little tough encouragement is all he needs."

Or Billy could be throwing a wrench into his friendship, but whatever, true friendship beats a little manipulation any day. Everything will work out. Probably.
