Bene Gesserits for Dummies

The day after the Hannukah celebration, Katara had time to think about the last twenty four hours. The idea of a challenge, the training Sheeana was taking about, was still fresh in her mind. There was no avoiding it: she WANTED to be a Bene Gesserit, wanted to be trained well enough that she could move as the Mother did. She didn't know how enthusiastic she had seemed then, but she had even replaced one of her usual Yoga practices with trying to move a limb independent of all other: to no avail, sadly, but she was getting closer, she knew that well enough, but it wasn't enough for her to do the exercises, she wanted to know more about them too. So naturally, the Media library was the best place to go.

She made her way to the place and poured through the material, avoiding several interesting books about martial arts and looked up specific sisterhood paths. There were several interesting goddess ones she wanted to research later, and one called "Dianic Wicca" that would probably have bothered Sokka, but she was finally at the Bene Gesserit, and engrossed herself in her readings.

Thus spoke St. Alia-of-the-Knife: "The Reverend Mother must combine the seductive wiles of a courtesan with the untouchable majesty of a virgin goddess, holding these attributes in tension so long as the powers of her youth endure. For when youth and beauty have gone, she will find that the place-between, once occupied by tension, has become a wellspring of cunning and resourcefulness."

"Interesting," Katara said to herself aloud, reading on.

"It's not easy, but it's also not hard." Her laughter was perfect, methodical, flawless. A millenia of bene gesserit lived in her mind, her skills where with out equal.

But not with out price.

"Any one can do it, if they have the time to learn. And since it seems none of us are going any where for a good long while, I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to learn..." From that demon-tongue bitch, Sheanna...
Although she did not speak these last words she thought them. Deep in her mind she could feel the Baron feeding off her hatred as he slowly clawed his want to the top of her consciousness.

Oh if you only know what ruthless, scheming, murdering, bitches they are... you would not trust them little girl...

"You should always... be careful whom you trust with these sorts of things. There are those was bears the sister hoods mark, and those who wear it's collar." Alia turned now, with an impressively dazzling smile, her hips swaying as if over come with joy.
"When you figure out who is which, let me know. We can compare notes. Because some of them are not as honest as they seem." The words where nearly sing-song. The irony of it all was killing her. Alia wanted to scream, to shout at the girl, to point out her ignorance. Blindly following a girl she hardly knew. A girl full of lies, a loyal follower of that god damned order of inbred whores.
The Bene gesserit has destroyed her, it was their doing that had torn apart Alia's mind when she was no more than a fetus. And it was the sisters that blamed her for her abominations, cast her out. Ever her own mother....

Alia had meant to keep talking but all this thought was throwing her mind into a frenzy, the anger than flowed through her lifted the voices, louder and louder in her ears. She was afraid the girl might see it, might glimpse the fragility below her careful complexion.

"If you find your self on the wrong path, It's not as if I can go far. Though I suggest any reading you can do on my Brother. He was... A God!" And with a strange sort of laugh, simply walked away, hips swaying gracefully to hide how her heart trembled.
