Greet the (New) Meat! (no, don't eat them!)
By hook or by crook or by avoiding hook and crook, the crew assembled from the previous podpops eventually made it up to the Living Area to greet their new crew mates. The creepy sculpture was also there, though less to greet them than it was always there.
The strange, fleshy seating had multiplied. You really, really don't want to know how.

< They said they were going to what? > Ax asked, apparently unaware that his mouth was hanging open. < I... You must be from after I was taken or we are from alternate universes. The communication I was speaking of took place just before the battle with Vissers One and Two on board the USS George Washington. Did that happen to you? >
Quarantining? The high command was going to quarantine Earth? Condemn its people to slavery under the Yeerks?
There was no way that would work. Humans were dangerous hosts; they were far too intelligent, too tenacious to remain trapped on a single planet with Yeerk minds driving them and Yeerk technology available. What was the high command thinking?

< Yes, Stacy can remove us from different points in the time stream. Aside from the two of us, Robin is from a point in their time line before Superboy, and both of them are from a point before Jaime Reyes and Paco. I have also encountered the character Xander Harris from that Buffy TV show Marco is so fond of, apparently from a point in the future. >
He frowned thoughtfully. < I do not know what effect this could have on the time stream for us. I doubt that it will cause your present to be wiped -- I imagine that Stacy would find that counter-productive. >
