The beer tree. No matter how much she thinks on it, Mei-Xing just can't make that work in her head.

But there it was. Mocking the laws of nature.

With a shrug, she tugs off a brew and pops it open, taking a sit. At least it's not bad beer. She settles down under the tree, leaning against the trunk, and sips again.

It's not where she usually hangs out, or where she'd even prefer to do her business, but there was a powerful, stable gaiasphere here, and if she was going to be putting her magic on things, she'd rather have a stable environment. Until the guy with the monster problem arrived, she'd just be sitting here. Drinking. And using magic to flick pebbles at any animals that got too close for comfort.

Flick. Flick.
Allen’s Omnicom is sitting, unguarded, in Engineering’s main office.

When Billy picks it up, a laser beams out of the small lense at the top of the viewscreen and scans his eyes. A second later, the device displays a message.

If I’ve been repodded, follow the ‘dead’ instructions, but without making my woman cry. Okay? Okay. )

Which leads us to the final project.

It’s locked up, accessible only through Allen’s Omnicom, and half-finished.

Its instructions are not as complete as the previous ones.
I will make you great.

I will make you powerful.

Steve woke up in a cold sweat, but it was only cold for a moment. Then his body filled with heat, pulsing and surging and roaring in his head. He exhaled a breath he couldn't remember holding, then gasped for more.

The walls of his room were closing in on him. The lights were flickering and the air grew thicker and thicker. He stumbled to his feet and headed towards the door, clutching a hand to his forehead.

You are lucky to bask in my presence. You are lucky to have survived. You will be the one to carry on my legacy.

His head pounded as he stumbled down the hall. The whole crew quarters hallway was getting smaller now, smaller and darker, hotter and hotter. He had to get out before she reached him. He could hear her getting louder until it sounded like she was echoing in his ear, that voice that sent chills down his spine and made him grit his teeth. "Shut up, you bitch... shut up!"

I will raise you above the level of the slime who populate this world. I will give you the purpose you were born to fulfill.

I will give you the privilege of serving me, Mister 267.

Her laughter rang out and he was trapped in that cell again, stumbling up against the cold brick wall. He yelled out in shock and slammed his fists against the door hard enough to sting. "No! NO! NOO!"

Of course, as soon as he'd likely woken anybody sleeping behind the door he was banging on, it all faded and he was left staring blankly down the crew quarter hallway.

[ooc: Whose door is it? I don't know, but whoever you are, you've been awoken by a sleepwalking delirious teenager. Whoops. So much for a good night's sleep...]

Matt was back in action.

Sort of.

Dressed in sleeping clothes and a housecoat, he still sported bandages all over his body but the sheer quantity of them were hidden under his robes. Some of them peeked out from under his sleeves and shorts, but he was feeling much better after the numerous treatments.

Currently his bed was propped up with pillows as he sat up in bed, a pencil moving across a paper as he hummed out a tune, making notations as his voice pitched higher or lower. Waggling it between his fingers, he tapped the pencil again before writing again.

"Bring in the dream, the flutter of wings, give the chaos a shake and bring it to a halt..." he murmured before changing a few of the lyrics.

So engrossed in his song writing, he didn't notice he had left the door open for visitors. Not like he could stop anyone however from entering.

There's a familiar face back in the Hub - well, familiar to some, since Will doesn't tend to go around much in her Guardian form.

"I am so TIRED of hearing about CAKE!"

Little lightning bolts sizzle around the pixie-winged redhead as she vents the last of her frustration.
