It had taken him not too long to realise that an interdimensional wizard had made his way into Renne's expansive panthaeon of Deities. Whether he was a Deity or not had become irrelevant, much like Imhotep being deified in Egypt's Old Kingdom. And it was to this wizard Renne prayed, worshipped as he worked. He'd come to love this place, this strange building with its secret song but it had become a love that set this place apart as sacred, holy.

"You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be."

Constant softly-spoken prayer and song are his mantra as his hands work steadily on this strange device. It's a golden thing with a single, broad blue stripe, taken after a Pharaoh's death mask, except this is nothing to do with death and it isn't a mask. At the converging center point of this vaguely triangular piece, a silver diamond sits emblazoned with two unicorn's heads with their horns crossed.

He smiles upon checking his work. The easy part is completed now, with the faint blue tinge set on the unicorns' heads. The hard part is what comes next and his fingers carefully touch a place between the unicorns' heads. And he crosses his proverbial fingers.

You raise me up...
It had been some time since the Son of Satan felt the need to deliver a sermon, or rather since he was able to overcome his own fears. He knew he was a poor priest, at least when it came to guiding a congregation, but the people needed comfort. He only wished he could deliver. And so he held a service in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The reading was from Luke. )

Nanoha had always been able to read Fate like a book. So when the two of them had met up in the hotel (formerly claimed by the Outsiders) for a small meal that Nanoha had cooked herself, it didn't take long for the mage to realize that something was amiss with her best friend. There was something bothering her immensely, radiating off of her so strongly it was almost palpable.

Of course, she waited until they'd retired to their bedroom to say something, since she got the feeling this was something best done in private.

"Fate-chan, what's bugging you?"
