Transmigration 9: Brave New Worlds

Nanashi led Fletcher into and empty sensorium, summoning up the same garden she had after the elections, and immediately walked to the far wall by the cliff face. The wall was just as covered in small white flowers whose leaves, stems, and exposed roots on the stone were covered in this shining gel as it had been the last time she constructed the garden.

Nanashi pulled one of the little flowers from the rock by the base of the stem so that the roots came with it, and held it out to Fletcher, "These are the moonflowers that grow only on the mountain face. For flowers so little seen on the rocks in exploration, they grow amazingly well with the slightest aid. The water used to keep these other plants make it more humid here, and the one moonflower that was on that cliff," she pointed to the sheer rock face over the door, "turned into all of those quickly. Knowing that, it was easy to move then over here as well."
Now that he was working in Hydroponics, Fletcher hadn't been visiting the Sensoriums as often as before. But he did sometimes come in when he felt like he needed to get away from it all, and right now was one of those times. Nothing in particular had happened; he just felt down, like he did sometimes. And it was odd, because he hadn't had the urge to make this particular scene before. He should be more adjusted to life on Stacy now than he had been a few months ago, so why only now did he feel the need to do this?

He was sitting in the garden in the back of Belshio's house in Xenotime, the same place he'd gone after the battle on Zokez II. Only this time, he wasn't alone. Sitting next to him, with one arm tight around his shoulder, was Russel -- or as close a representation as the Sensorium could put together. He listened as Fletcher told him about all of the things that had happened in the past few months, interjecting every so often to say something comforting or snarky.

Fletcher was sure no one would come in. To make sure of it, he'd put up several bushes and trees close together near the door, and the area where he was sitting was about as far in as he could get. He could go back to doing productive things later. Right now, he just wanted to be with his brother.

A cranky fire prince is waiting for his test student. He's still patchily burned in places from his latest round of maze-running, but the best cure for Zuko's crankiness is to get to work on whatever task has been put to him at the time. Currently, Hiccup is it.

Of course, this means he's sensorium-camping, which might not go over so well with the rest of the crew.
