Transmigration 9: Brave New Worlds
Pan-fandom, SciFi, and Screwed-Up
April 13th, 2009
There is an AI on the ship that goes by the name Bender Stack. It only pops up now and again, and now its function may finally be somewhat clear.

"Hey. Hey meatbag!" says a grating voice.

Bender Stack chases people away from work when they've been doing too much of it.

This is why Brainiac 5 leaves the Special Weapons Division and by the time he gets up to the Living Area (having decided to eat anyway if the irritating AI is going to heckle him out of work) he's about at his wit's end.

"--For the last time, I am not going to build you a robot prostitute! You're an AI, not a mechanoid, you couldn't interface with it anyway."
Taking a break from the 'remodeling' work he's been doing down in St. Paul's Basilica, Sawyer has settled down in one of the sensoriums. The room--as per his 'mood'--as been transformed into a strip club. The club's name, "Leather & Lace" is scrawled upon the wall behind the bar in giant pink neon lights. On stage, three half-nude women danced topless, gyrating their hips and sliding up and down the silver pole that stood in the center of the stage and performing any number of acrobatic stunts that were sure to leave any man drooling.

At one of the tables, puffing on a cigar, sat Sawyer with a deck of cards, ready to start up a good game of poker. Anyone and everyone was invited to join. Of course, that was conditional on having something to use in place of money. Lucky for Sawyer, he had a massive stash of cigarettes and was--for now--the only one on the ship with access to some booze. He had large bottles of wine and fine liquors that some of the passengers of Flight 815 had carried on board with them, along with a multitude of the sampler bottles that the airline, itself, had carried. So, he was set as far as having something to bet with.

The thing he didn't have, so far, was a gun or bullets to go with it. The question remained: Was there anyone on the ship with an extra gun or extra bullets--or anything else of value--that they might be willing to lose in a friendly game of poker in exchange for some cigarettes and a few sampler bottles of booze?

ooc: Probably best to keep this as one single thread. Feel free to jump in at any time, even if there are already a lot of tags. People can just jump into the game in the middle. No biggie.
