Luly smiles. "I'm lucky my parents were pretty open about stuff. They encouraged me to meet Humans, actually. Some of my people didn't have that much foresight." The ones who keep to themselves, now, and are fast becoming near-irrelevant on the world stage.

"They're much better than some of the alternatives," she says brightly.
