Never Again [ open ]
Being popped out of a tube like some kind of pez candy had to have been the worst experience in Teddy's life. Well, next to the whole nearly getting dissected thing. Once he had done his impression of a Hulkling Pez candy he had immediately bolted away from everyone, he couldn’t think of anything else, really. The combination of fear and confusion tends to do that to people.
It really wasn’t hard to take care of the entire naked issue, he had the ability to change shape at will, so it was easy enough to shift some clothes onto his body. Of course, at the same time he hadn’t expected to be tossed into the middle of some Night of the Living Dead remake. And he did whatever red blooded American teenager would do in a situation where he had no friends and had no clue where he was, he hid.
And he had no problems admitting that he had hidden until the Zombies were gone, he liked his brain where it was, thank you very much. Though, he noticed one thing once they were gone… there were people around here…people who looked somewhat normal... Though, normal was a relative term, even Teddy knew that.
He had one goal and that was to get the hell out of Dodge. Billy was probably having kittens and if he wasn’t somebody else probably was…
[ooc: ogod, I hope I’m doing this right. If I’m not just beat me over the head with a 2x4 or something :o]

But for now, he was heading back to his room, datapads in hands. That is until he walked right into the boy, sprawling and sending his datapads skittering over Stacy's (thankfully soft and fleshy) floor. What had he just walked into, a wall? Rubbing his arm, he looked up from his landing spot on the floor to apologise. But when he did, his eyes went wide.
"Teddy?"
no subject
Okay, he just couldn't do it... "Nate?! How...what...wait..."
no subject
"You want the long version, or the Cliff's notes version?"
no subject
"The version that I'll understand."
no subject
"Well basically? We're on sort of an inter-dimensional Ark. Because our universe, and the universe of everyone else on this ship, was destroyed by an omniversal threat called the Ohm. Stacy (that's the ship's name) took us all. Great fighters and minds and such, to help combat the Ohm and hopefully fix our worlds in the process. And failing that...the defeat the Ohm and repopulate a new world."
A pause as he made a sort of, 'I know how crazy this sounds, but seriously' kind of expression. "Thing is, none of us even knew any of this until recently. Because Stacy had been taken over by space pirates who suppressed her core AI personality."
Something made him smile though and he laid a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Just another day in for the Young Avengers, huh?"
no subject
"Wait...destroyed? Where's Billy?!" Because, if some Ohm or whatever hurt Billy in anyway, Teddy was going to go all Hulkling smash on their asses. Never mind the fact that his home was somehow destroyed and he couldn't remember one piece of what happened...
He was taking deep breaths now, trying to calm down, not moving from the spot that he was. "This is crazy...."

"Oh my God, Teddy!" Cassie ran to her teammate and threw her arms around him. "It's so good to see you."
no subject
"It's like the whole gang is here...."
no subject
no subject
"Billy...he's here too?"
no subject
So when he heard Cassie's shriek, he ran towards her voice. It couldn't be right? He stopped short when he heard the voice he'd been wanting to hear since the day he got here. Saying his name no less. He felt his heart clench and the next moment he was launching himself at the blond. Not even caring that Nate and Cassie where still there.
"TEDDY!"

“How long have you been here? I’ve missed you… did you see the zombies!?” Because. What teen didn’t like zombies, c’mon now.

"I can't actually tell how much times past here. Everything just happens so fast.. for all I know it's been months."

Jonas floated up and landed next to Cassie, smiling. Six down, two to go. Eli and Tommy had better wake up soon.
He glanced over and Nate and Cassie, raising an eyebrow. "[I assume you were just about to call me and Kate?]"
no subject
"You guys have a lot of explaining to do..."
no subject
no subject
"Somebody call me?" She stepped closer smirking at her friends, and then her eyes widened.
"Teddy?! You're awake!" And ok, but she wasn't sure how much he's heard about their universe yet. She knew Billy took it pretty hard, but he was clearly better now with his boyfriend back.
"You ok?"
no subject
And then there was the entire zombie thing, but it really didn't matter in the long run. The zombies were gone and as long as they didn't come back, all was good.

"Either way...if I'm here...and you guys are here, they're probably someplace else as well... right?"
no subject
"[We are currently on board a techno-organic ship known as 'Stacy',]" he informed Teddy. "[She is capable of traveling in time, space, and through dimensional walls. You will encounter people on board who you may have seen in television shows, movies, video games, books, and other forms of entertainment. Stacy and her superiors claim that we and the people still inside the Pod Caverns are the only survivors of our respective universes. Currently, we have no proof of this but their word.]" He glanced around at the others. "[Did I miss anything?]"

"And uhm," Cassie bit her lip. "If they were telling the truth and our universe is gone- there might be a way to get it back. Maybe. If they were telling the truth."

She added, "Trust me, it gets easier once you've been working with them for over a year or so."

"And we're sure this is all real...or that we're real...or...man, I've got a headache."

"And slop...? No cheeseburgers...?" Man, he was craving one of those right now.

"So, how do we get home...?"
