Reactions, A Room, and Luthor [Closed to Kon]
It’s a ton to take in, to say the least. Seriously? Really, seriously? After all that fighting, after nearly losing so many people and actually losing others, after all that risk, it’s for this?
Cassie isn’t sure if being sold off as a slave is all that worse than knowing their entire universe has been obliterated. In the end, well, it isn’t exactly one reality or the other, but the thought still bothers her: sometimes it’s just so much better to be naive.
Then again, she wouldn’t have come as far as she has in life if she had stuck with naive. And it isn’t as though everything they knew and loved was lost forever, is it? If there’s a slim chance of getting out of this and restoring their worlds, they’re going to do it, right?
Cassie shoves that to the back of her mind for a second and reaches over to slip her hand into Kon’s. She leans him against him a touch, her other hand resting on his arm.
“Hey,” she says, “Let’s check out that room. If I see another pod I’m going to seriously damage something.”
