There was a invisible being currently sneaking around the ship. Unobstructed by walls or other solid objects and having free reign over most of the ship, which itself was miles across, said creature might've gone completely unnoticed for a much longer time than it had. That is, if it hadn't entered the Medbay in it's exploration.

As Danny, who had not left the room due to wanting to stick near the only living family member he had now, rested his eye, he was startled awake by the cold of his ghost sense.

"Oh no. Not now." He groaned.

Dani's own eyes snapped open from much needed rest as the same wisp of blue air left her own mouth. "A ghost?" She said, slowly sitting up with a wince, looking around. She wasn't as panicked.

Hey, not ALL ghosts were bad.

"Stay down Dani. I'll see if I can find-"

"Arf!"

Blink.

Blink.

"Cujo?!"

Dani looked over at the sound. And then smiled widely. The first smile isince everything happened. "He's so cute!"

"Not when he gets bigger than some houses he's not."

Cujo, oblivious to Danny's snark, jumps around the halfa, happy to have found the boy who found his squeaky. Danny kneels down to pet him.

"Okay, I'm happy to see you too boy, even if you are indirectly responsible for Valerie wanting to kill me."

"He gets big? Cool!" Dani said, leaning over slowly to not stress the wound, but to see Cujo better. "...Valerie wants to kill you? She let you go so soon after capturing you!"

Cujo realizes there's someone else there, and leaps onto the bed, licking at Dani's face.

Making sure Cujo doesn't accidentally hurt Dani, Danny explains. "She did at first anyways. But I got sort of through to her as time went on. You actually helped a lot with that."

Dani laughed as Cujo started licking her, petting the dog in return. "Whose a good boy? You're a good boy!"

She looked at Danny curiously. "...really?"

"Well yeah. Part of it was you helping her realize not all ghosts are bad by just being you, and part of it was her being able to see how badly I wanted to rescue you."

Dani was silent a few moments and smiled. "So that's it! Good. I was wondering why she gave me to Vlad and then tried to save me."

"That was actually because I vaguely explained the concept of halfas and told her you were one."Danny answered, scratching Cujo behind the ears,"Figured she wouldn't want to harm a human, and it worked out."

"Aw, so that's it," Dani said, still petting Cujo. "So she knows now?"

"Well, I didn't tell her then about me being one, but she knows now cuz of the whole me revealing my secret after the whole Asteroid thing."

"...how didn't she figure it out?" Dani asked, looking at him curiously. "I look like your little sister in both forms."

"Probably because it's really hard fr anyone to think geeky, occasionally clumsy, Danny Fenton," Danny said, stressing the perceived differences in his identities, "could be a superhero? That's just my guess."

"You didn't seem that geeky," Dani said. "You're really cool."

"One thing ya gotta learn munchkin? Cool is subjective. But thanks."

"It is?" Dani asked questioningly. "Why?"
