Building a family [hella open]

 Slobo had been puttering around the ship for an hour, thinking and looking. He quickly found that if you looked hard enough, between W&P and the City itself, you could find anything. In the end, he was standing outside a Courtyard by Marriott hotel about a click outside of "Escherville" with spraypaint and a very large block of stone. At first he had thought about the Vatican, but it was too wrecked from the zombie fight. Plus, this place had an indoor pool. He spraypainted a large message on the wall next to the door, red with black outline.

PEER COUNSELING" 

 

On the sandwich board tucked near the door, he wrote "12-21? Info and Tryouts inside" and left it out in front. Now, he took his large rock into the lobby and began carving. And waited.

"That could work, I suppose," Sheik muses. He's never actually worked in a team, admittedly, but now that things are different, well... "Who is the Skipper? And I didn't catch your name earlier...?"

What with, you know, the whole slightly-distracted-by-space-pirates thing.

"Slobo, resident Top Fraggin' Teen. And the Skipper is Picard. Bald guy. British accent. Can't miss 'im."

Slobo offered a hand.

"If ya want in, we're takin' all comers right now. With all our worlds gone, we all need something different. The Outsiders? We're offerin' a family and a chance ta do good without havin' ta deal with too much bureaucrat sprock."

"Slobo," Sheik repeats with a brief nod, "I'm Sheik."

The offer is... tempting, though. He's cut off from everyone he knows, save Zelda (and hopefully Link and maybe Impa, if they're still in podsleep). "I haven't had a family in a very long time," he says softly, and reaches out to shake Slobo's hand.

Slobo smiles as he shakes Sheik's hand.

"Well, then, welcome ta the Outsiders if ya'd like, Sheik. If yer anythin' like me, ya'll get a taste fer it real quick." He wasn't sure why, but this felt good. Right. It wasn't just remaking Young Justice, is was forming something of his own, and helping people like him.

"Also, we got a pool and rooms that ain't alive. 'Nother bonus ta bein' part of a family." He laughed a little.

He smiles properly at that. "Walls that don't pulsate?" he almost grins, "That is certainly welcome."

Completely and utterly disgusting. Like what Princess Ruto had told them of Jabu Jabu's Belly.

"Well, pick a room. Anythin' but the top floor suites. Me and the team leader called those soon as we got here." He grins. "And again... Welcome, man."

Another of those rare smiles. "And again, thank you," he tells him, and heads off to find a room of his own.
