Newbie Meet N' Greet

Meet n' Greet, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat! Unfortunately, the newbie meet and greet takes place the same time the command staff is congregating, so they might be a little late to the party.

But the crew is there to welcome the newcomers and explain their situation. At the end of the milling and spilling about, the command staff is going to start a general meeting to apprise everyone of their situation and discuss their next course of action:

Getting off the damn ship.

"Gee. You're really...inquisitive, aren't you? And not anywhere near being spooked out. That's so...you're not from Sunnydale, are you?" Buffy asked, tilting her head at the young woman. "And yes. Always evil. Well, unless they can get a soul cursed back into them. Then maybe a little less...well, a lot less evil. But they can still lose their soul, so...evilish? I guess?"

"I know I don't know a lot and I'm not gonna learn anything by not asking," Dani said, shrugging her shoulders. Of course, she met even less knowing than even normal thirteen year olds. "And spooky is my life. Well, half of it, anyway. And I'm from Colorado. In some...mountains, somewhere. I never got the exact region."

"So, if you don't have a soul, you end up being evil?" Dani asked. "And a soul is...you know, I never got that either. Supposedly a soul makes a ghost, but then the scientific stuff doesn't mention it."
