Newbie Meet N' Greet

Meet n' Greet, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat! Unfortunately, the newbie meet and greet takes place the same time the command staff is congregating, so they might be a little late to the party.

But the crew is there to welcome the newcomers and explain their situation. At the end of the milling and spilling about, the command staff is going to start a general meeting to apprise everyone of their situation and discuss their next course of action:

Getting off the damn ship.

Pikachu nodded, repeating Buffy's name while point at her. "Pipi," he said, pointing at her.

"Pikachu," pointing at himself, "Pipi," pointing back at Buffy. Then his glance went to Buffy's weapon, and one of the mouse's tiny eyebrows went up. "Pi pikachu?"

"Oh, no, that's not for you," she says warmly. "That's for the big bads that we'll probably inevitably go up against."

Pikachu nodded, getting that much, but sighed at being misunderstood. Having recently raided the possessions locker, he'd found numerous items from the World of Trophies, and he showed that now. Reaching behind him, he pulled what appeared to be an empty sword hilt. Clutching it in his mouth, Pikachu shook his head sharply.

"Pfikha!" The blade (http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/4030/beamswordssbb.jpg) ignited suddenly, a beam of blue energy lancing out from the hilt as Pikachu held it.

"Pfikha pfikhashu!"

"Oh, whoa!" Buffy darted back a little bit as the beam of blue energy shot out. "Is that...a lightsabre?"

Pikachu shrugged in response. Close enough, but the term he'd heard others use was Beam Saber. From the way he flipped it in the air and caught it, though, swinging it with his mouth, the electric mouse was extremely familiar with it.

Buffy clapped. "That was...really talented." In her mind, she's thinking that this particular version of Pikachu is from the Super Smash Bros. game, but she's loathe to really say anything. "So...you're trained with weapons."

Pikachu nodded cheerfully before turning off the Beam Saber and setting it aside. What he held up next were several stickers, some fairly large. Buffy seemed to understand him more than others, so he was taking chance here and hoping she'd know what he needed them for.

A little better but not much better.

Buffy looked at the stickers and tilted her head.

"Okay, these I'm guessing aren't just for show and tell." She studied the stickers carefully. "I'm not...sure what you need me to do. Are these...a puzzle?"

Pikachu then did the only thing he could think of to demonstrate where the stickers went. He rolled up and over, standing on his head and looking down (up) at Buffy. "Pika pikachu!" he said, clapping his feet together to bring attention to them.

"..." Blink blink blink. "It's a rug?"

Pikachu sighed and sat up, pointing at the shapeshifting statue. For a moment it turned into a large statue of Pikachu, sitting atop a stand.

"Wait. Okay, The stickers. You need the stickers...to get a statue of yourself?"

Okay. Seriously, being misunderstood was really getting annoying. Luckily, Pikachu came prepared, having snagged a couple extra omnicoms from Brainy when the green man wasn't looking. He handed one to Buffy then, raising his own and pointing at it.

Buffy looked down inquisitively at the omnicom and back at Pikachu. "I'm...is this a cell phone?"

Even Pikachu knew what a computer was. Sighing, he pressed a button on the device, bringing up the screen before holding it back up for Buffy to take.

Pfft. Computers. That's what Willows and Dawns were for.

Buffy took the omnicom from the screen and looked at it. "Okay..."

Then, Pikachu pressed his paw several times against his own omnicom. In a moment, a small blip of text appeared on Buffy's screen.
