Newbie Meet N' Greet

Meet n' Greet, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat! Unfortunately, the newbie meet and greet takes place the same time the command staff is congregating, so they might be a little late to the party.

But the crew is there to welcome the newcomers and explain their situation. At the end of the milling and spilling about, the command staff is going to start a general meeting to apprise everyone of their situation and discuss their next course of action:

Jean-Paul's head turned to face the one who said that line. While sane, JP would have recognized the joke? Here, he was this close to wanting to knock this guy's teeth in. He wasn't worth his time. Not right now.

"I am NOT this... 'Batimus Prime'. It's 'Batman'. The only one you need to know!"

"Sorry JP, only people I'll call Batman are Wayne and McGinnis."

That did it.

"H-How did...?! WAYNE?! Wayne's HERE?!" Jean-Paul said, lunging at Wags, ready to pummel him. "WHERE IS HE?! If he thinks he can take what is mine, he's WRONG! HE'S BROKEN AND DONE!"

Whoops. Ducking time. And, also, as if on cue, a tentacle comes to thwack JP.

||Violence towards podmates is unacceptable. Jean-Paul Valley, you have received your first warning. Further incidents will result in Violations. 15 Violations will result in Punishment||

"Wayne hasn't been broken since the 90's. Which is when I'd say was the same time that costume went out of style, except it never was in."

As his own strike missed its mark, the tentacle found its own, smacking Jean-Paul in the head. Clutching his head, he turned to face Wags.

"What are you talking about?! I just saw him! He wanted to come back! Try to take what's mine - something he'll NEVER do!"

Oh, the wonders of being in two separate eras!

"Uh, hello? Didn't the fact that I know billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne is really the Caped Crusader clue you into the fact that you're not in metaphorical Kansas anymore? We've all been pulled here from different universes and times? In mine, you, Batman, Superman, the Green Lantern. etcetera, are all comic book characters. And in the time Batman's from he's had the cowl back for a while."

Okay, for someone who's already nearly the edge of insanity, this was enough to make him think clearly. As things started to filter in, he clutched his head, doing his best Cloud Strife impersonation.

"No... NO! That's... that's not right! I'M Batman! I'M the one who's the rightful heir of the Mantle! H-How...!? How is that...!?"

Sad to say? He's slowly realizing the fact that he just might be another pretender now.

Yeah, this place? Was not doing to well in the "hide in the all-concealing shadows" bit. Too many people were spotting him and Jean-Paul wasn't liking it one bit.

"I am not a 'dude'." he said. "And... 'meatship'? Is that what they call this place?!"
