Newbie Meet N' Greet
Meet n' Greet, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat! Unfortunately, the newbie meet and greet takes place the same time the command staff is congregating, so they might be a little late to the party.
But the crew is there to welcome the newcomers and explain their situation. At the end of the milling and spilling about, the command staff is going to start a general meeting to apprise everyone of their situation and discuss their next course of action:
Getting off the damn ship.

Getting off the damn ship.

"Hey, I wouldn't dream of kicking anyone's ass before you showed up. I mean, we're partners for a reason, right?"

"Chris!" she yelled at him when she was almost there, just to make sure he didn't move off anywhere, and a moment later she was on him, slowing down just enough before impact so she wouldn't hurt herself, completely oblivious to any conversations she was interrupting. Part of her had hoped he wasn't on this ship, was safe back in their world fighting Bioterrorism, but most of her was just very glad to see him because she'd missed her big brother something fierce.

"Claire!" And then he caught his sister in a great bear hug. Like her, Chris wished she wasn't here, but at the very least, he could take solice in being able to just be with her and protect her.
no subject
"Chris, hey I'm gonna look around, get an idea of what all is going on here."
She eased back to let them have a chance to talk without feeling compelled to include her in the conversation.

"Not every day I get to have both of my favorite ladies in the same room like this. You're not getting out of this that easy."
no subject
"Jill!" She glanced up at Chris briefly, before back at the other woman. "You're-" tact, Redfield. Tact. "It's good to see you," she managed to recover, smiling again. Last she'd heard Jill was missing and presumed dead. So, this was another person from their neck of the woods who was supposed to be dead but actually... not.

And the auburn haired woman smiled in greeting to her partner and best friend's sister. Jill blinked a moment though. Claire looked older, something about the roundness of her face thinning out, and the look in her eyes, Jill had seen life age people like that before.
the notice was all she had time for before Chris swept her up as well and hugged her to him. Not that she was struggling all that much, she'd missed the big lug.
"Ok Redfield," Amending that after she realized there were two of those now, "You got me Chris, just let me breathe."

Leon came over after hearing Claire's high pitched scream, and was just a little off to the side, happily watching the family reunion.

But hey, this was a good thing, running into people. Jill wriggled out of Chris' hold. Dear god when had he gotten arms like that? She shook her head and grasped Leon's hand, shaking it firmly and giving his shoulder a squeeze with her other hand.
"Good to see you."
no subject
He grinned, looking from his sister to his partner, giving both a soft shoulder squeeze.

"Where's Sherry?"
no subject
He couldn't explain it, but he felt like someone was going to need to do some explaining, soon.
"Sherry?"
no subject
Of course, the smile on his face faded a little as soon as Claire mentioned Sherry. Time for 'Uncle Chris' to meet his niece.
"Uh, she's... hold on."
Letting go of Jill's hand, he put his fingers in his mouth and let out a loud wolf whistle. That should get Sherry running over, though in the back of his mind, he wondered if Ashley would be following her.

Dad was calling. Part of her peevishly demanded that she not go. She was not a pet! But the other part of her reminded Sherry it was probably important, she she got up and skittered through the crowd until she found her parents.
"Mom, Dad, you called? I wa--" she started when she looked up. So it wasn't just her parents. It was her parents and some very... well, the man's arms looked bigger than her head and the woman seemed decidedly stiff, if relaxed. Sherry's expression shifted from sleepy acceptance to immediate suspicion, she half-hid herself behind Leon, and watched the two new people.
no subject
"Claire... who is this? And more importantly, why did she call you mom?"
no subject
"I know it's been a while since you've seen her, but she's still your niece, Chris." The look she was giving him was begging him not to make a scene, and she leaned in, speaking quiet enough so only he could hear her.
"I'll explain when we're around less people just don't make a scene, okay?"
no subject
Jill fumbled through the lie as she picked up on Claire's direction. She wasn't sure exactly what was going on but she did know that Chris was absurdly protective of his sister and that attitude in front of a child would not be a good thing.
Jill's hand slid across Chris' back, her expression begging him to just go along with this for a moment.

"What's the matter with him?" Sherry asked, her tone painfully blunt. She mentally plotted out her escape route in the event one of the strange adults grabbed at her. It seemed like her mother was doing some kind of damage control, and the stiff brunette lady was helping her along.
But that didn't ease Sherry one iota. "Did I say something wrong?"
no subject
It was probably a bad idea for him to talk and draw Chris' attention to himself, especially since Chris looked like he had been taking tips from Krauser's personal trainer.
"We should probably find somewhere a little quieter to talk."
no subject
"Niece... right. Uh, Claire, could I have a word with you? Y'know... in private?"
no subject
"Absolutely, come on. Let's head down to the city." She turned around and gave Leon a brief look, before she started off through the crowd, towards the Hub. Sooner they got this over with, the better.
no subject
"I... guess we're giving you the grand tour," he told Jill. He looked briefly at Sherry while he considered where to go, then waved both Sherry and Jill to follow him. "We'll show you around, and give you the whole run down along the way."
