He was kind of...in a tizzy, was a good expression for it. Not entirely unapproachable by anyone else, but something seemed to be on Jaime Reyes' mind as he stalked the halls, looking for a specific someone, before it was too late.
He only hoped he could convince her to not say anything and potentially mess up time and doom their world, but the problem was that she actually knew Superboy better than he did, had been a Titan before it all went to hell, and might not be willing to DO that...
"Thank you, Stacy. Thank you so much for your stupid time travel..."

Mia jumped from around a corner, swinging her sheathed sword at Jaime's skull.

"Ow!"
Jaime staggered to the ground, starting to armor up, his arm turning into a somewhat frighting thing that was glowy and looked like it made things go 'boom' but as he saw who it was, he stopped, and called the armor off.
"What is your problem?!"
no subject
She helped him to his feet. "Call it a training exercise." Her expression softened. "Sorry if I hit you too hard... I thought your bug-thing would block it."

The only normal one was the Martian!
"I don't have my sensors right now! I'm not used to being blind yet." He prodded at his noggin. "I'm getting a bump and everything..."
no subject
She let him go and gave him a once-over. "I mean... it's not as if you're in THAT bad shape. I figured you could have at least raised your arms in the way or something."
no subject
Wait!
Rule seven! Rule seven!
It was weird, because he barely knew her, but they were already falling into patter like he and his friends talked. He could tell already they'd be good friends, just like he'd known within the first five minutes of talking to Paco and Brenda.
"I'm kinda crappy at fighting. I'm more a thinky kinda superhero," he said. "Back home, Robin's been training me like crazy to get me better at fighting. And usually the scarab's sensors could let me see your heart beating from around the corner--actually, it's just like in Predalien. I never had to worry much about someone sneaking up on me, but Stacy messes up Khaji's sensors so we had to shut them down. I got so used to them, to being able to see things like that, that now it's like I'm half-blind."

Oh oh! Duh!
"Oh! I was looking for you anyway. See, uh, there's a big problem. a big, BIG problem."
no subject
She cocked an eyebrow. "What's up, bug?"
no subject
A deep breath. "Superboy and Impulse are here too. That's bad. That's very bad."

From where they were standing, a landscape sprang out at their feet and swept off into the distance, trees sprouting out of the ground and up to full height as if they were under the throes of Miracle Gro from hell.
Then they were surrounded by trees with golden leaves, some of them falling gently around them. Above them were wooden flets, platforms that housed beautiful buildings, and light like starlight from lanterns all through the trees. Far off, there was singing.
"Huh. Stacy's been hitting the classic fantasy a bit, apparently," Jaime said, flopping over into a pile of golden leaves and disappearing.
no subject
Yeah, she had her girly girl moments, what of them?
Her eyes widened as Jaime got swallowed up by the leaf-pile. "Umm... bug? Still in there?" She approached the pile cautiously.
no subject
Then when she was close enough, a hand whipped out of the pile, grabbed her arm, and he tried to yank her in.
"Sneak attack!" You have to keep aware of your surroundings, Mia!
no subject
"Small joint manip, bitch!" She cackled and pushed his hand just a little further. "Say you're a pretty little princess and I'll let go..."
no subject
"And I'm not going to say it!"
no subject
*squish*
"Say you're a pretty little princess! Or I shall crush you, puny male!"
no subject
"Never!"
He cheated. Except it wasn't cheating, because there were no rules. Armor spread over just his arm, under his clothes, making her death grip rather moot, and making that arm considerably stronger, so that he was able to untwist and push her off, now trying to wrestle her down.
"So," he said, mid-wrestle. "What's your story, anyway? How'd you pick up the whole Arrow thingy?"
no subject
"G.A. helped me off the streets. Then there was a demon and some weird stuff. Turned out to be a natural with a bow."
no subject
He always lost at rough-housing. Brenda said it was because he wasn't aggressive enough. Brenda was very aggressive, hence why she could kick Paco's ass.
"Just picked up a bow and you could go all Robin Hood?"
no subject
She managed a tiny shrug while still holding him. "It took a little more than that. But yeah... I'm kind of awesome like that."
A flash of realization went over her face. Without releasing Jaime, she started yelling to Stacy. "Robin Hood! Give me Sherwood Forest, some targets, and some gear right now!"
