Sneakery [Closed]

Although she was the first to admit there were some interesting new crew mates, Samus had wasted too much time at the meet-and-greet. She had important business to attend to. Finding Sam was currently at the top of her list for more reasons than one. While she didn't care if her commanding officers approved of her methods, she did care whether or not they respected her as a professional. Sam's escape was a blow to her reputation. She would not allow his escape to completely destroy the trust she had earned as a member of ship security.

She set off on a comprehensive search of the ship, starting in a rather odd place: the vents. She had not chosen this beginning arbitrarily, however. She could move around them with surprising speed, and they gave her access to anywhere Sam could be hiding. Vents also provided extra stealth, a vital part of a successful search.

However, she was completely unaware that another crew member had also been crawling around up there...

As for the search for Sam? Snake really doesn't care that much. He never did get all the facts and thinks of it as not his problem.

Snake... actually has no good reason to be in the vents. Well, other than working on his internal map of the place. It is always better to have an idea where everything is in your head. Besides which, with Otacon on board, he's taking recon a little more seriously. Until he finds something better to do.

He isn't quite as fast as Samus in the vents. He's more slow and careful. He heard a very faint sound come up from around the corner of the vent he was currently working through. He briefly wondered if it was a rat. But then reminds himself there aren't any on the meatship. He began to slowly creep around the curve of the vent.

plz ingore my slowness

Yep. There is definitely someone else in these vents. Snake stopped his advancing. He settled where he was, and very carefully drew his M9, just in case. He still hadn't met everyone on board and some aren't as friendly as others. Who knows who he might run into.

"Little big for a rat," he said aloud, addressed to her, even if he hadn't gotten a good look at her yet, "Do you always make that much noise?"

"Habit," easy enough answer. One that doesn't require too much explaining. He still had his gun out, just in case. It is better to be safe than sorry.

"You in to get hurry somewhere?" Snake gave no indication he was going to move from his spot. Not forward or back. If she wanted by, she'd have to go around or squeeze past. Or--convince Snake to move.

Hey, it is just his tranq rounds. Not that she would know his weapon is a modified beretta. But he had no wish to have to use it. He narrowed his eyes at her, but seemed to relax.

His eyes briefly went to the side as if to glance behind him without moving his head, "Rather not." Snake doesn't take well to demands, "Tell me why first, then maybe."

"Yeah? Not much of a reason," Snake stubbornly refuses to move. He crawled a long way through the bowels of the ship to get here. ...bowels of the ship that look suspiciously like bowels. He tried not to think about that too much.
