Ah.. now that's better. [Open]
Daniel has been on the ship a while now. Though he's kept far more to himself than he intended. Mostly due to the fact he hasn't... well. He hasn't noticed the passing of time.
He's been very absorbed in his research about anything and everything related to the ship and the universe its cruising through. He had tried to go through all this information in the Media Library... but... well. There is only so long a book worm can go without... books.
Luckily, it didn't take much to translate the media library into holographic projections of books and the computers he's used to. If anything, it made him more content in his research. Not that he expected to find much beyond what was already known. So he decided on a new approach. He got the sensorium to call up old SG-1 mission reports (and in a moment of weakness, the ones that haven't happened for him yet.). That brought him to be sitting in a simulation of a library, at a desk pilled high with books and folders. Some of said folders baring the clear classified mark... not that it mattered much anymore... at least not to him.
He looked over an old report then clicked his recorder on, "The ship does seem to possess virtual reality technology like to that found on P7J-989. Though I've yet find any indication that this is... well... all in our heads. Or if it is... it's far more advanced. But now is hardly the time to get into a debate over what is real and what's not... at least not yet anyway." He clicked it off shortly after.
Still absorbed in his work, he won't notice if anyone else enters. He flipped through some pages of a different file, this one marked for the Atlantis expedition. He clicked his recorder back on, "An interesting note... the organic... ahem.. workings of the ship do bare a resemblance to that of the Wraith. Not.. Not that that is very comforting at all. As much as I would like to know what we're dealing with here... I would hope that this more a case of convergent evolution than any connection to the Wraith. Still... I'm not ruling anything out." He let out a sigh after that note.
"I guess that brings me to the.... Ohm."

Generally speaking, all of that was extremely immature, but it was true all the same. Still...even if the archaeologist didn't know him, it was still Dr. Daniel Jackson, and Cameron still trusted the man with his life and the fate of several galaxies. His friendship was invaluable, and Cameron would prove himself to the man again if needed, to get it back. Maybe this time, with his years of experience around SG-1, and without the stigma of replacing the General, it would take less time.
That said, he wasn't actually looking for the good doctor today when he made his way into the Sensorium. He just happened to come across him.
Cameron crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway. "Sounds pretty Ohminous, doctor."

The bad pun did make him flash a small smile, "Oh, haha... " he shuffles some of the papers and looks up, "The... Ohm, appear to be the looming threat in this... galaxy. There really isn't much on them here." He sighed and looked at the papers collected, "I don't suppose you've heard anything?"
no subject
He returned the small smile with a grin. Sometimes what a situation needed was a bad pun. Often enough, when the situation dealt with intergalactic threats, that was doubly so.
At Jackson's question, however, he simply shrugged. "Jackson, I don't even know who's on this ship, let alone who or what's outside it." He frowned slightly. "I take it these Ohm are why we're here?"

Daniel looked surprised at that admission, "You--You don't?" He shuffled through some of the papers and turned them to Cam, "I--I don't really know if that's everyone but--" he glanced to the paper, "--we do have this." On the said piece of paper it detailed the roster.
"But I admit, that doesn't exactly tell us much," he shrugged, "However! The media library does have information on most of those on-board. I.. uh.." he cleared his throat and tried to say it as delicately as possible, "It.. had some information on that doppelganger of yours."

And yet.
Cameron fidgeted uncomfortably. "I don't really trust the place." He did take the piece of paper with the roster on it, though. It could prove useful.

"Oh!" said as suddenly remembering something, "If--If you want some more insight on your doppleganger I can give you the name to look up in the media library. Though I should warn you--" Daniel coughed and looked mildly amused, "There is a woman who looks like Vala from his universe. And they're--" he looks even more amused, "--together. More or less."

Any actual responses died before even forming in his throat, however, at Jackson's comment. There wasn't a lot of thought for a several moments afterward. He was much too busy locking any bizarre thought processes--or more importantly, unwanted images--far from his conscious mind.
"...Come again?" He held up a hand. "No. Wait. Don't repeat that. How do you even know?"
no subject
"Uh.. that. Well." he cleared his throat, "Well, since I'm on a team with him I thought it would be a good idea to understand who I was dealing with. So I--" he gestured to the books, "--looked it up," he added sheepishly.
no subject
"You looked it up?" He arched an eyebrow. "Does he know about that?"
