Tiny Little Robots [Open]

Wyn is Not Happy. Her best-friend-from-the-future is onboard the ship, which is nice, but something clearly goes horribly, horribly awry. Since he won't tell her what's wrong (thanks, Caden!), she's got to do something to take her mind off her questions. The little scout robot idea she's had bouncing around her head sounds like a good plan, but she doesn't quite have the parts she thought she would (thanks, Julian!). So basically, Wyn is glaring staring at her notebook, twirling what looks like an eyeliner pencil between her fingers and trying to come up with a workaround that doesn't involve ridiculous amounts of magic.

... well, she might not have much of a choice on the magic thing, but she'd prefer to avoid writing with her eyeliner if at all possible. She's got priorities.

"Ohhh so," Cassie frowned. "I see. And anyone with the 'spark' are required to work for the Empire?"

"Oh, no but people with super powers are. For the government that is. We don't have an Empire."

"Sort of we- the British Empire? Wow. They're the UK where I'm from and haven't been an empire for a long time. One of but not the big super power." She ran a hand through her hair. "Wow. But uhm, yeah, super heroes have to register to get training."

"I'm from America. We have public and private schools for general education. I go to a public school and then I also have to go to Initiative training on top of that. Most of my friends don't go to Initiative training." Well, more like all her friends. "They have to lay low so they're not thrown into prison or forced into training they don't want."

"If you ask my friends they'd say it's brainwashing but if you ask me? It isn't. We just learn how not to accidentally blow up a school or get someone killed." Or nearly paralyzed.

Well, maybe not so much on that last one.

"Oh I know. It's a legitimate question. It's just that back home the public isn't exactly adoring. So I get that kind of speech a lot."
