Brought Down to "Normal?" [Endplot, backdated to before Rebellion]

The crew that returned from Hendersus Villae following their rescue mission was not the same crew that had been sent there in the first place.

Well, they were. They just wouldn't look like they were for a few more hours.

Goliath, Kang, Rainbow Dash, and Crematia were all still stuck as humans, and the reassurance they'd gotten from Zarom Ghartha that their transformation would expire in roughly one day's time was surely enough to allay some of their lingering discomfort with finding themselves still in the wrong bodies, but unfortunately, no amount of reassurance could completely relieve their situation of awkwardness.

Awkward or not, though, they all needed rest and medical attention, so there was no hiding out while the curse wore off. Not unless they wanted to spend the next 12 hours still hungry, tired, and injured to various degrees.

"Oh, well." He looked so uncomfortable. Maybe Nima should stop flirting with him. How badly did that violate her code of doing no harm? "Lucky us girls."

Nope. It was just too fun.

Now it was almost a full-on blush. Kang coughed, wincing slightly at his ribs, and took a long drink of the ale.

"Aww boss, come on. What's got you so tense? I promise it's all in good fun."

Nima took the mug of fruit juice, which had started to look a bit lonely by itself. "But you ARE pretty good-looking. The lady Draconians must all be just as happy to see you as I am."

Another awkward cough, and Kang finished off the ale. "I'm not used to this sort of attention. We don't have many females yet." He didn't even know if he was considered attractive for a male.

"'Yet?'" Nima repeats. "How does that work?"

[governorkang]

"Created race, remember? We didn't find out about females even being created until we were nearly forty." Had Kang told Nima about this before? He thought he had. "Besides Fon, there's only nineteen other females that aren't very young children, and only two of them are bozaks like she and I."

"So what you're saying is, you are SADLY under-experienced at being hit on."

She leans on her hand, giggling. "Boss, you have NO idea how happy I am to fix that for you."

[governorkang]

"I'd rather you didn't. Especially since you work for me," Kang said dryly, running a hand through his hair. There were rules when it came to work relations.

"I don't understand that. Not flirting with someone you work for, or with. Why does that bother people?"

She's genuinely curious.

"Sometimes I think it just gets the tension out of the way. Obviously not for us -" Kang clearly was not going to give in to any of her flirtations - "But maybe in all situations, it's not so bad?"

Kang wasn't really sure how to explain it, hesitating before responding, "It just makes a lot of people uncomfortable."

"You know, I won't say that I've never been in an uncomfortable sexual situation . . . but sometimes I'm surprised by how many of them people DO find uncomfortable."

She paused before adding, thoughtfully, "Am I really making you uncomfortable?"

[governorkang]

"You're a bit unusual in that regard," Kang pointed out, smiling slightly. "Yes, you are. I know you didn't mean to."

"The sisters don't teach each other to think of these sort of things as uncomfortable," Nima explains, "But making another person uncomfortable is definitely against the tenents of my order. I'm sorry, Boss. I'll stop."

She even bites back one last comment about how cute he is. That's what being a good Air Nomad nun is all about!

[governorkang]

"It's alright," Kang assured her. Better it was her, and not someone who wouldn't stop.

He looked down at his empty mug, debating whether or not he should drink something stronger than ale.

"Top you off?"

She's out of fruit juice anyway, and what the heck. He's had a rough mission.

[governorkang]

Kang sighed, "Please. I feel like shit." He'd already checked to see if he could drink with the painkillers he'd been given, and he just wanted to relax and try to not be so aware of the body he was in.

Nima launches off on a gust of air and returns by foot, filled tankard in hand.

"Boy, I'm sure breaking a lot of my order's guidelines today," she says as she hands the ale over.

[governorkang]

"...what else have you broken?" Kang asked, slowly leaning back in his seat with a wince.

[kungfu_sexnun]

"Some of the sisters frown on serving alcohol at all. They say it's karmically unsound and enabling pollution of the human body."

She shrugs. "But, it's your bar, and you're not human. So who am I to judge?"

[governorkang]

Kang smiled wryly, "Moderation. I didn't miss anything important while I was gone, did I?"
