Liberté, égalité, fraternité (and a hard-boiled egg)
With the Council having laid down the groundwork with the Daligig to gain their trust in the uprising, the crew prepared to put on a show, and the Daligig at their wit's end and impatient with the crew of the Transmigation 9, it was time to act.
The plans were clear. Allenby would be leading some of the crew in what looked like a hotheaded attempt the attack the Daligig and Kessek and oust them off the ship. Those that wanted to stay out of the fighting and take a neutral position of some kind were to make sure they stayed safe or acted their parts as the horrified crew-members that wanted everyone to make peace. And of course, anyone else was going to play a roll in pretending to side with the Council and the Daligig to put their fellow crew members down (without hurting them) making it look like it wasn't a clear-cut issue, so the Council could get the command codes necessary to start the crew's true takeover of the ship.
More observant members of the crew had noticed where the Daligig, Ghyll, and Kessek had been entering and leaving the restricted areas of the ship. The attack was to start at one of those entrances, as the fake rebels tried to storm in and take on the Daligig forces. After that, as the Kessek were drawn into the ship itself to put down the rebellion, it was going to be a free-for-all, a faux civil war of sorts, as flashy and convincing as they could make it without anyone actually dying.
Lights! Cameras! Action, people! It was time to put on a show and hope it was convincing enough for the Daligig to give the crew what they needed to truly be free.

Re: The City
Re: The City
Ruffnut couldn't help herself from taking a moment to reflect on how every time they sparred Mindy managed to trip her...at least it felt that way. And as she fell for a moment helpless to the flow of gravity she reflected on her own failings as a warrior that always fell for such a simple but effective move.
She hit the ground with a grunt and lashed out with both feet for Mindy's kneecaps in sharp retaliation. She was starting to see red now in a mix of frustration and embarrassment that she wasn't proving a good point about how far she had come. It was humbling to be flat on her back again.
Ruffnut hated being humbled.
Re: The City
So the lash out at her kneecaps, while unavoidable, she met with an overhead punch to Ruffnut's noggin, wincing a moment later. Her legs were strong, but even they could bleed and did so now, making Mindy feel slightly unsteady.
Re: The City
She rolled forward and sprang into Mindy while she was unsteady, screaming like a beast and digging her grip into the straps and trying to keep Mindy close. Where Mindy had the advantage at range the closer they were though the more advantage that Ruffnut the grappler had.
It was so hard not to smile. It felt great to get out all this energy with Mindy.
Re: The City
And it looked as if she were going to get her wish.
Of course, keeping Hit Girl at close range meant dominating her and catching her, something Hit Girl was not about to make easy. She reared back, redirecting her strength (thank you Morgan) and gave her a pretty hard blow to the stomach, her head jerking back hard to hit Ruffnut in the face.
Re: The City
After all it would be suspicious if she didn't use her powers in a match with someone she respected so much.
Re: The City
But of course, she was still wearing Big Daddy, which would at least stifle the blow.
Nonetheless, she took a breath and went through a flurry of punches, now that she and Ruffnut were too close to each other at this point.
Re: The City
Re: The City
Hit Girl was going to get a little more aggressive here, landing harder hits, her speed starting to increase exponentially.
Re: The City
Though her pain fueled anger urged her to continue she stumbled back and spat out some blood wheezing, swaying for good measure.
"I thought you were cool." She growled playing the part of the betrayed best friend. The lightning pulsed in her muscles and singed her clothes. Her fingertips turned black from self inflicted burns and even her eyes seemed to spark. The next punch she threw had the force of an sticking a fork in a light socket.
But it was also...just a little too slow, at least for someone with Mindy's skill.
Re: The City
So she knocked the hand aside, and delivered a concentrated punch to the gut.
"I've always been me before anyone else!" She said, looking exactly as cruel as needed. "Not my fault you forgot that!"
Man, did this suck though.
Re: The City
"Lucky...shot." She wheezed before her eyes rolled back and she fell into Mindy. Her only consolation was that she'd be out cold for the humiliation of being dragged to a cell or wherever prisoners were being kept.
Re: The City
Hit Girl braced the girl upward and threw her over her shoulder. Ruffnut might be taller, but she was still skinny. She could at least do this much for the person she cared most about. She'd make this up somehow, but right now she had to look serious.
"Sorry," she said quietly.
