Liberté, égalité, fraternité (and a hard-boiled egg)

With the Council having laid down the groundwork with the Daligig to gain their trust in the uprising, the crew prepared to put on a show, and the Daligig at their wit's end and impatient with the crew of the Transmigation 9, it was time to act.

The plans were clear. Allenby would be leading some of the crew in what looked like a hotheaded attempt the attack the Daligig and Kessek and oust them off the ship. Those that wanted to stay out of the fighting and take a neutral position of some kind were to make sure they stayed safe or acted their parts as the horrified crew-members that wanted everyone to make peace. And of course, anyone else was going to play a roll in pretending to side with the Council and the Daligig to put their fellow crew members down (without hurting them) making it look like it wasn't a clear-cut issue, so the Council could get the command codes necessary to start the crew's true takeover of the ship.

More observant members of the crew had noticed where the Daligig, Ghyll, and Kessek had been entering and leaving the restricted areas of the ship. The attack was to start at one of those entrances, as the fake rebels tried to storm in and take on the Daligig forces. After that, as the Kessek were drawn into the ship itself to put down the rebellion, it was going to be a free-for-all, a faux civil war of sorts, as flashy and convincing as they could make it without anyone actually dying.

Lights! Cameras! Action, people! It was time to put on a show and hope it was convincing enough for the Daligig to give the crew what they needed to truly be free.

After the fake rebellion spilled into the rest of the ship and people started to fight each other, somewhere out there in the vast multiverse there were fanboys and fangirls that suddenly got an inexplicable thrill over something, a passing moment of indefinable glee. There was a disturbance in the force but it was actually a really cool one.

They all simultaneously came to the same conclusion that somewhere out there something really nerdy was happening.

One of these gallant geeks even went home, went on their computer, went to reddit, and started a debate, tripped by that strange bit of inspiration that had sleeted across the multiverse:

Superman vs. the Master Chief: Who Would Win?

The answer wasn't exactly clear if you went by the comments or the actual fight itself that was taking place in the Statuary, but in the debate over who would win it was quickly becoming clear what wouldn't.

The scenery.

Statues were getting trashed left and right as the two faux-fight, neither of them holding any punches, because neither had to.

"You can't do this, Chief!" Kon shouted, as he threw the Venus de Milo at him, trying to do his best impression of himself at his most desperate. "We have to fall in line, at least long enough to survive the war! We need their help even if we can't stand putting up with them. Too many people have died--Kal died--we can't let all of that have been for nothing, and without them backing us we don't stand a chance!"

[ooc: Bystanders and other fighters can join in this thread, but if they're fighters, just make sure they're either sturdy or quick enough to avoid getting hit. The two won't be holding back.]

The statue clipped the Chief and his shields flared brightly to take the impact. He ducked behind a tall monument to some unknown, likely long-dead hero from another world.

"They're using us as a means to an end!" he shouted back. "They're not helping us, they're indiscriminately wasting our lives!"

He had to keep moving to keep something substantial between him and Kon, otherwise this would be over quickly. His return fire wasn't very effective but it was loud and impressive looking and that was what mattered here.

Impressive-looking was very important and since it made sense Kon would hold back somewhat here because it was a crewmate, it was all looking pretty real, especially as he landed on the ground and sent a surging wave of telekinesis across the floor towards Chief's hiding spot.

"Look, I know some of what they're doing is rotten but we've been making a difference. We saved Zokez, we've helped other worlds! We have to try to get them to not do the kinda stuff like they tried to do to Howard and his friend, but we have work within the system, Chief! We need their support."
