"Well I didn't know it would do this to me!" She'd had a clue though, the Doctor had warned her he didn't know what long term exposure would do. But that's tantamount to there just being a chance it might be harmful, not a foregone conclusion. She was an impulsive gambler, nothing will ever change that.
