Like the majority of the crew, it was curiosity that had brought the Doctor to the observation deck following the announcement. It was disgust and horror that had kept him there. He'd tried to fight and he'd tried to stop it, but his words had fallen on deaf ears and his actions had only led to him being held in place by one of the Kessak warriors until it was over.
