The Kessek raises his hand up to deflect the blow; Karis' axe costs him two fingers and a chunk of the third. He shoves against it and grabs Karis by the wrist of the arm holding the axe. There's a sickening rending noise, and suddenly Karis is minus one limb and one weapon.

Kon slams into another Kessek, although rather than simply being tackled she grabs onto his cape and digs into the floor, dragging Kon to the ground with her in a heap.

Another Kessek grabs Simon by the wrist and throws him to the ground with a thud, ignoring him in favor of rushing to the aid of the Kessek fighting the new Superman. He tries to grab Kon, making the fight two on one.

A moment after Allenby's angry cries, there's a snapping sound as one of the Kessek presses her arm down at an impossible angle. The bones in her upper arm are snapped in two.
