What is Love? [Valentine's Date Event]
It's shaping up to be another average day on the Transmigration 9. Crew members are going about their business as usual and all is (to most appearances, at least) about as "well" as things ever are on the ship.
Some crew members are going to be stopped out of the blue by impact with a force field.
"Attention Crewmen: You have been chosen to participate in an experiment!" GLaDOS's voice informs. They're not alone, someone else that was nearby is also caught within the same narrow radius. "Participation is mandatory. Please try to relax and enjoy the experience, as this will improve the quality of the test results."
Clearly this is going to be a wonderful day for science.
"You and your new scientific partner are now on a date," GLaDOS goes on. "As it would be detrimental to our study of the date experience if you were to be separated, you must remain close to your partner for the duration of the experiment. This will be enforced with the Transmigration 9 Crewman Containment Field. Prolonged exposure to the Transmigration 9 Crewman Containment Field may have unexpected side-effects. While any side-effects encountered will be documented and your desire to offer yourself to science is commendable, it is not a necessary part of this experiment."
"You will be informed when the test has been completed. We would like to thank you in advance for your full cooperation in the experiment and failure to attempt to foil it in any way."
"The experiment has begun, so you may begin dating."
[OOC: The exact details of your characters' confinement are up to players' discretion. Being trapped in a sensorium or other stationary place is a possibility, as is being stuck in a sort of roving invisible force field hamster ball that only affects the two of you. How far partners can move apart is probably subject to whatever's fun but they ideally shouldn't be able to sit on opposite sides of a room ignoring one another the whole time.
ICly the "test" lasts for a few hours and you are free to godmode GLaDOS telling them the experiment is finished.
If you would like a few tags from GLaDOS herself in your thread, ping me on this account or plurk or AIM or whatever is most convenient for you. :)]

Re: Hana/Sandy
"I dunno...the more we hung out I guess the more I...I figured out that I liked you like that." She mumbled shyly.
Re: Hana/Sandy
Hana went red and pulled her close, hiding his face in her neck and mumbling. "Well, you know what?"
Re: Hana/Sandy
W-what's that?" She asked nervously.
Re: Hana/Sandy
And to prove it he kissed her again.
"So there!"
Re: Hana/Sandy
Re: Hana/Sandy
He stole another kiss and folded his arms over his chest to show he meant business. "So that means I like you way more!"
Re: Hana/Sandy
Her vision went blurry like he'd just punched her in the face rather then kissed her, but the tingles spreading through her were like...pop rocks. Pop rocks crackling all over her skin.
"L-love?" She asked as if she hadn't heard him. But the words were ringing in her ear "Love..." she said it again and the word made her feel like her stomach was full of melted caramel.
She mumbled something and looked like she was trying to force herself to say it louder.
Re: Hana/Sandy
He'd only been honest with her, wanting to tell her how much he cared about her like she'd been brave enough to do. But apparently he'd overstepped it.
Feeling like the biggest idiot ever, he turned away, so she couldn't use her pretty eyes to look at his stupid face.
"Yeh, love..."
Stupid, stupid, stupid!
Re: Hana/Sandy
Except that it wasn't a bird, just a very nervous, very shy girl who was way in over her head.
"I love you too."
A strong breeze could have knocked her over as she stared a him, anxious, confused, why had he turned away. Had she somehow blacked out after his confession? Did she wait too long to say it? Why was it so hard to say it when he had already said it first!
"I LOVE YOU HANA ASAKURA!" She shouted it so loud it echoed in the tower and she was sure Ruffnut and Mindy probably heard them.
She also thought she could hear the ghosts giggling.
Re: Hana/Sandy
His ear twitched when he heard her the first time, but he dare not turn around incase it'd just been a trick of his hearing. Had she really said it or was that just because he was wishing so hard for her to say it?
Then she'd shouted, and he'd jumped, the force of her yelling blowing his hair back.
Blinking in shock, he turned back around to look at her. For awhile, he just stared at her.
Then a grin broke out on his face, his eyes twinkling.
Taking a steady stance, he inhaled a massive breath and yelled at the top of his voice.
"I LOVE YOU, CASSANDRA MARKO!"
It carried throughout the castle like a lions roar.
Before he burst out laughing and leant against her, pinning her to the wall and nuzzling her neck.
Re: Hana/Sandy
Her arms wrapped around him tight and she thought she might never let go.
"B-be my boyfriend?" That seemed like an afterthought considering she'd finally said the word that had kept her up at night while he was held close to her to protect her from the nightmares. But she wanted to hear it so badly.
Re: Hana/Sandy
Looking down at her, he suddenly seemed concerned. "Hey, what's wrong? Your eyes are all red. Are you crying? Am I squeezing to hard?"
Re: Hana/Sandy
"I love you." Just saying it made the moment even better.
Re: Hana/Sandy
"Sooo..." He pulled a look of innocence, trying to appear nonchalant and failing miserably. "Does this mean we can kiss some more?" The excitement in his voice was far too easy to pick up.
Re: Hana/Sandy
Re: Hana/Sandy
"Cassandra." He said quietly, as he often did when they were alone.
Usually for his own amusement, he would lounge about, saying her name over and over, making it clear how much it liked it. But now there seemed even more meaning behind the way he said it, as if he held the word itself dear.
Re: Hana/Sandy
"Hana." She whispered back reminding herself how much she loved his name. For something that meant flower, it felt like the word itself was a source of strength.
The test and the barrier were completely forgotten. She could keep doing this with him all day into the night.
