Who Let the Fox Out? [Very much open]

Now it was time to get acquainted with her new home! And what better way to do so than to dash around in er fox form with the occasional break here and there in her humanoid form just to enjoy the feel of the environment in a different light~

If you venture into the city today, you might find yourself seeing a shadow, or a blur, or sometimes even the full visage of a majestic while fox with nine tails dashing quickly through the City. You might even simply run into the nine tailed maiden just dancing around in an abandoned building, or at the park.

Wherever it may be, do you approach her? Or observe her from afar?

Zouichi wasn't looking for Ahri; rather, he was on his way to pay a visit to Ildraniath when he spotted a flash of fur. A crew member? Or one more critter who'd gotten lose on the ship to menace the crew?

"Hey! Hold it!"

"Nine-tailed foxes are smaller here, it seems... and less bound up in overly-energetic genin."

How long had Orochimaru been watching, from atop the rooftops and buildings? The ninja sat casually on a balcony, a supercilious smile on his face.

Beastboy had been doing a fly through of the city, as he often did when he was trying to either think too hard, or not think at all, when he saw the creature with his sharp hawk eyes. Birds couldn't smile really but he would have because as simple a pleasure as it was, he loved introducing himself to animal themed crew members be they coherent or simply farm animals from hydroponics.

He descended from the sky in a graceful swoop trying to catch another glimpse of her and when he did he aimed for that direction, shifting to fox form just before hitting the ground running on all fours hot on her trail. Not too close just yet but enough that she would notice a young green fox chasing her playfully.

Ahri paused for just a second, flashing a toothy grin as her golden eyes flashed brightly in recognition. That however didn't stop her. In fact, Zouichi could hear an amused giggle as she playfully dashed around the corner and out of sight.

Well he certainly seemed interesting~ Ahri stopped her playful dance as she looked upwards towards him with a studying smile.

"They have nine-tailed foxes where you are from then?" she finally asked, turning to face him, her tails playfully swaying behind her.

Beast Boy was greeted with a glance back and a playful giggle before Ahri bounced to a stop and leaned down as if to pounce playfully, her tails swaying side to side behind her.

Before beast Boy could get any closer however, she skipped here and there and dashed in another direction, playing around with a pleased smile.

A giggling animal? Well, that was... strange. He hadn't seen enough of her to know it was Ahri, so he resorted to chasing her down himself.

His bike was much faster than he was, of course, but even on foot, he could rival a cheetah for running speed. One more way in which he wasn't quite human. He turned the corner, scanning for the creature even as he ran.

Beastboy danced gracefully to a stop when she did and bounced back and forth playing along with her. As clumsy as he was for a human, animal forms each came with their own set of rules and abilities. As such he was able to tap into the light as a cloud, smooth as silk movements of the fox and chase after her with a grin that was more suited to a dog then a fox.

The city was their playground, the terrain easily conquered for creatures such as they.

A tremendous black armored figure just stares with mild (for him) contempt at the strange dancing mutant in the park, red eye-slits glittering from the all-encasing helm.

And yet there was no sight of the creature once he turned. But there was something oddly eerie about the area, almost as if there was a heavy presence there. Nothing ominous or dangerous, just a rather powerful one.

And playful!

Shifting shadows around the area made it more amiable, letting more light through and more than a few times, the image of the fox with the nine tails could be seen for just a second here and there.

"I do hope you have some time to play~ I've been sort of bored lately~" she mused happily.

Ahri was feeling... nostalgic almost. It had been a long time since she had played freely as a fox ever since her transformation took place. She let out a playful yelp and a look back before dashing through the streets, banking left and right tightly down alleyways and loving the feel of the wind all around her.

This was just perfect.

It wasn't hard to noticed the powerful glare from the tall and imposing figure, but Ahri was more than fine with it. In fact, she strode over in a dance like fashion and smiled up at the tall male.

"Well hello there~ fancy meeting you again."

[zouichi]

"Ahri?" Oh. So not an intruder, then. "Well, I don't know if I have all that much time, actually. I was going to pay a visit to someone."

It wasn't technically something he'd set up ahead of time. But when it was a choice between playing hide and seek with a fox or spending time with someone dear to him... well, he could play a little, but that was all.

Howard's going to go with 'observes from afar', because generally wild canines aren't high on his list to acquaint himself with. He watches the fox from a few feet up in a tree in the middle of the City, cat in his arms.

And naturally, the cat decides to start climbing out of his arms and down the tree to investigate this strange new foe. Howard tries to keep her still but she jumps out of his grip and to the ground in front of the fox.

Ahri laughed a bit and came into view, shifting mid-stride and looking at him mildly amused.

"Oh it's alright yanno~ I can always catch ya some other time. After all, it's not like any of us are going anywhere any time soon right?"

She made her way until she was right in front of him, her usual amiable smile clear on her face.

A kitty! Ahri immediately pounces around the cat playfully as if she had found a play partner... or prey. Either way, as of right now she didn't seem all that menacing, if anything she just seemed chipper.

He looked a little taken aback at her transformation, if only because he was unused to animals turning into people. And vice versa.

"You're right, of course. But... how have you been settling in? I don't believe I've seen you since you first arrived here."

"Oh I've been around. Haven't had my chance at exploring the place as I'd like to yet, but I'm making sure I fix that today and the rest of the week for sure~"

She smiled up at him and winked. "Besides, the shore leave kept me busy as well. It was rather fun to say the least~" And boy was it satisfying!

[zouichi]

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's probably best to get as much out of those as you can. Never know when the next fight is around the corner." He smiled fondly, drifting off for a moment before returning his attention back to her.

"So what's on the agenda for exploring? The City is relatively safe, but I believe there are a few places you should look out for."

"Don't worry about that, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing some action. After all, that's what I do! Thought I can't say I'm going to complain about having all this free time now that I'm not fighting on an hourly basis back in the Fields of Justice!"

Her eyes lit up in curiosity at the mention of places to look out for, "Oh? There are? What exactly would they be hm?"

[zouichi]

He raised an eyebrow. "Well, I believe there was a pocket dimension in Escherville that could be described as rather unsavory. Although that should now be closed off. But I don't go around systematically trying to poke my way into any dangerous place I find. There's trouble enough, what with the unstable buildings."

Besides. If he told her about the ghosts, she'd go looking for them, wouldn't she?

Oh yes she would!

"Interesting... a pocket dimension you say?" That gleem in her eye is very much telling!

"A pity that it is closed off... but I'm sure there are many other things to explore~'"

"I am sure it is entirely coincidental." Erhart grates, from within the vox-scrubbed voice there is NO sign of warmth, or even familiarity, really.

She doesn't really expect those feelings from him truthfully. But that's not to say she doesn't positively enjoy those feelings of contempt and dislike she can feel from him! All essence is good essence, the stronger the better!

"Aww, so mean~" she muses with a smile.

"So, anyways, how have you been adjusting and all that hm?"

Unfortunately, Emergency Rations was more interested in bossing Ahri around than playing. Given that Ahri is not bowing to the queen, the cat gets the claws out.

And, with a hiss, bats at Ahri's nose.
