As endless as the walk seemed, Diana guessed it would be nothing compared to the pained searching of houses they'd have to do for water.
Her tongue was far too dry and her dark lashes were doing little to keep out the piercing hot light of the sun.
She was midway through debating whether or not tying her hair back would make her feel any cooler when she gave Howard a look over and spoke.
"You're not looking as fabulous as usual, Howie. What's wrong?"
Diana looked around them for any trees as they walked.
